Our morning student Karin has been very busy during our summer break creating some beautiful pieces at home. She has pushed herself out of her comfort zone using watercolours and I especially love her pumpkin in oil pastels. Today’s watercolour workshop with our fabulous new teacher Carla Busuttil focused on techniques, colour combinations and and creating colour palettes. Students explored pattern painting and the work of Matisse.
To finish they created an A5 botanical using wildflowers and leaves as a reference.
Wow, just look what they created in 20 minutes, such beautiful, delicate pieces that all look amazing. Well done to everyone and it was lovely to see some new faces today too. ColourWheel Kingswinford & Stourbridge
