Ever wondered where Jessie cat began?.........

❤️ Who is Jessie Cat? ❤️

Jessie Cat began her life more than 20 years ago as a Build-a-Bear soft toy, created for a very special little girl’s birthday. The little girl’s mum was Sasha Felix, the founder and creator of Sing and Sign. 🎶

Jessie Cat was one of a variety of animal toys who played ‘peekaboo’ in Sasha’s first ever Sing and Sign course of classes, but she was always Sasha’s daughter’s favourite. 💞

Therefore, Jessie Cat was chosen for her starring role in the Sing and Sign DVD - and a Sing and Sign Superstar was born! 🌟

Jessie Cat is now loved by so many babies (and grown-ups). She stars in books, in videos and gets lots and lots of baby cuddles everyday in classes and homes around the world. She even has her own page full of lovely pictures and Jessie info!

Time for a spa day for Jessie? Here’s the best way to make her sparkle again!

Has your Jessie got a bit mucky this summer going on adventures?! 🫣 Maybe she was a bit enthusiastic whilst eating ice cream?! 🍦Or maybe she paddled in the sea one too maybe times?! 🌊 Or got muddy visiting a farm?! 🐷🐄🚜
Whilst the manufacturer’s instructions say hand wash only, us teachers know she copes well with regular washes in a machine if needed 🫧 Follow these handy instructions and she will be ready for cuddles again in no time 🥰

This is so interesting and a really great example of why sleep is so important for our little ones! Don’t forget to include our fabulous lullaby song as part of your sleep routine. Ellie x

🤔 Did you know that it appears that babies can learn new things whilst asleep?! 😴 It’s probably no surprise that the large amount of time (most) babies spend napping serves an important function 💤
You may already know that sleep is incredibly important for consolidating what you have learnt and forming memories in the brain (at all ages) but recent research in America has demonstrated that newborn babies may also be able to learn completely new things too whilst sleeping!
And it also looks like your babies sleep pattern might also predict their growth spurts too! Take a read of this great article by BBCs Tiny Happy People which brings together some of the important reasons why your baby loves to snooze. 💤
