Today I have closed my doors for good after first opening my home to the families of Kingston just over 17 years ago.

I always thought that I would be sad on this day but I have very mixed emotions. Post Covid it’s been challenging and then with the cost of living rise and with the government rolling out funding for all 2 year olds this coming April it feels like the right time.

I’m glad to be getting an extra room in my house back and more time with my own family. I started the business thinking I’d spend more time with my own family but actually they sometimes miss out as mum juggles calls, messages, emails and paperwork to meet the demands of business and Ofsted, I certainly won’t miss that! So as always I gave it my all but enough is enough it all became a constant stress and it’s now time for new beginnings.

Thank you to over 170 families whose children I have had the privilege of caring for over the years. I have appreciated your business, your loyalty and your trust in allowing me to care for your little ones, many of those little people have finished school and GCSEs or about to start them. I’m looking forward to starting my new roles next week. Thank you all xx

Today we released our butterflies that we have watched grow from caterpillars for our Spring and Growing Topic. They hatched from their cocoons Monday then today, the last day before our Easter break was perfect time to set them free. Happy Easter everyone 🐰🐣

Having a well deserved cuppa break and sharing with you all as I’m on a roll today submitting my final assignments for my Early Years SENCO qualification. Feeling very proud of myself today that on top of running the business and being a full time single mum I’m on my last assignment and I’ll then be one of the first qualified in the country with this new qualification that has been fully funded by DfE post Covid to identify and make better outcomes for children in early years with SEN. Being the mum of two children with SEN this is now a passion of mine to identify and support as many children and parents as I can thanks to failing systems and local authorities who don’t act early enough! Right back to my Mac whilst I’m on a roll 💪🏼

Half days now available in addition to full days. We offer a small ‘just like home’ nurturing child centred environment making healthy and nutritious home cooked food and charging by the hour so we offer a more affordable, flexible and personal service. We take daily outings to local parks/river etc and take part in weekly music classes.

CHRISTMAS DOORSTEP VISITS

Rainbow Performing Arts is delighted to bring festive entertainment and joy to your little ones this Christmas time with doorstep visits.

ABOUT

Elfie is a cheeky elf who loves to sing, dance and have lots of fun. She will stay at your doorstep for approximately 15 minutes and her entertainment will include:

- Singing Christmas songs
- An easy-to-follow dance routine
- Christmas props
- Children’s percussion instruments
- Mini bubble disco
- Collecting the children’s letters to Father Christmas (and hand delivering them to him at The North Pole)!
- Rewarding the children with a small gift

For an additional fee (please see prices below), Elfie will bring along Father Christmas himself to join in with the festivities!
