As we come towards the end of another fantastic term, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Lucy from Monkey Music and Coach Jon from Love the Ball for bringing so much knowledge, passion, and experience into our setting. 🎶⚽

The children absolutely love both extracurricular sessions, and it’s been wonderful to watch their confidence, skills, and enthusiasm grow each week.

Staff meeting today with a little twist- all the team brought a dish!
We had:

•Greek courgette fritter with tzatziki
•Salad with Rachel special dressing
•Vanilla cheesecake
•Korean style chicken
•Potato salad
•Lamb samosas
•Dhokra
•sunset mocktails
•Carrot cake muffins with crème cheese
•Raspberry flapjacks
•Sprinkle cake
•Jerk chicken with Jollof rice

This week we held coffee mornings in all three rooms. All of the rooms prepared activities for the children to engage in with their parents alongside baking a treat for their parents to try

Robins created cheese scones
Owls created rock cakes
Sparrows created chocolate egg biscuits

Our spring coffee morning wouldn’t be complete without some furry friends and so with each coffee morning the ducks were present to have some cuddles.

The team at fountain nursery all really enjoyed the coffee morning and we hope parents enjoyed spending time with their children in their environment and also having a chance to chat with fellow parents and management tea over a drink and a treat.

Our tiny ducklings are thriving in their home. The children have had a blast spending time with them in the rooms and getting to hold them if they wished. Following duck handling, the team is ensuring the children prioritize hand hygiene. The ducklings’ hatching has coincided perfectly with our spring and life cycles theme, and the preschool class has loved watching it unfold.

Our duck eggs arrived today. The incubator is in Owls room so the children can keep an eye on them. One duckling hatched...

Our duck eggs arrived today. The incubator is in Owls room so the children can keep an eye on them. One duckling hatched this afternoon! We need names for our 5 ducklings, please suggest some! They'll move to the lobby cage when they're ready for everyone to see.
