✨Less calories does not need to mean less food✨

You’re trying to lose weight, not starve yourself sick!

It’s all about making smart choices that have a big impact. Think colorful salads, crunchy veggies, and smart swaps 🥙🍓 NOT restrictions and surviving on the bare minimum!

When you’re in a calorie deficit, nutrition optimisation is key. You want every bite to count, delivering a powerhouse of nutrients to keep you fueled and feeling energised. It’s not just about eating less; it’s about eating smart. So load up on lean proteins, fiber-rich veggies, and healthy fats to keep your body AND taste buds happy, even when you’re in a calorie deficit 💪🏼

Your body will thank you with energy to spare and the changes you want to see 😉

I MESSED UP… 🙅🏽‍♀️

… as most of you already know, this year was my first time fasting and praying during the month of Ramadan. And I’ve got a confession to make… I messed up, and here’s what I learned from it 👇🏼

When you make a change in your life, regardless of what that change is, or do something new/different… there WILL be opinions, there will be judgements and there most certainly will be lessons too, and that’s the blessing 🩷

I preach all the time how important it is to DO YOU, to do things that make your heart feel content and your life feel fulfilled, to ignore the negativity and power through… but I’ve got to admit, I messed up and didn’t listen to my own advice during this time 🤐

BUT, it taught me from fresh that how you come out on the other side is the real change, the true meaning of growth 🫶🏼

This served as a reminder to me, so I’m sharing this reminder with you… YOU HAVE TO do what feels right for you, because no matter what, there will always be outside noise… but it’s the inside intuition you need to focus on ✨

What a month! 🙏🏼

There were ups, there were downs, there were encouragements, there were judgements… but in the end the most important thing is that there was growth 🩷

I thank God for guiding me and protecting me this far into my journey and I look forward to what the future brings 🫶🏼

WORKING WITH KNOWLEDGE vs WINGING IT 🧠🧐

When I first started my fitness journey my results screamed “too much cardio not enough food”. I was driven by one goal and one goal only… to lose weight. My initial approach to getting to this goal was a bit misguided and I found myself deep in endless cardio sessions and restrictive calorie counting, having been convinced by social media that this was the answer 🙃

I was dedicated. I got results. But those results spoke volumes: I was neglecting the fundamental role of nutrition. My body was crying out for nourishment, and it became clear that my relentless pursuit of calorie burn was counterproductive, and you could SEE it 👎🏼

It wasn’t until I shifted my focus towards getting the right knowledge about proper nutrition and exercise that I began to see tangible progress and results that looked FAR better and felt FAR better too 😍

With a deeper understanding of nutrients, calorie balance, and portion control, I learned to fuel my body effectively. By nourishing myself with the right foods in the right quantities, I saw a transformation that surpassed anything I had achieved through years of restrictive diets in the past. I wasn’t merely guessing or winging it anymore; I was making informed choices that aligned with my goals 🍳💪🏼

The same applies to my training. I learned that exercise wasn’t just about burning calories, it was about becoming stronger, it was about becoming fitter, and it was about building a body composed of the right amount of fat/muscle ratio 💁🏽‍♀️

My journey taught me the invaluable lesson that sustainable progress is rooted in a balanced approach that combines both good exercise and nutrition. By educating myself and making informed decisions, I’ve changed as an individual and helped many clients do the same 🩷

Today marks the first day of spring which means it’s our Iranian New Year, Nowruz 💖

Nowruz is a celebration rooted in tradition and symbolism. It marks the arrival of the season of spring and the beginning of a new year in the Persian calendar. As nature and our bodies transition from the winter slumber, Nowruz embodies themes of renewal, rejuvenation, and hope 🙏🏼

This is a time for reflection, gratitude, and setting intentions for the year ahead. As nature bursts into its beautiful bloom, Nowruz inspires us to take on personal growth journeys and embrace positive change for the future 🤍

For me, Eid Nowruz holds a special significance because it not only connects me to my cultural heritage but also reminds me of the importance of resilience and adaptation 🙏🏼

Growing up in a multicultural environment makes it so important for me to make intentional effort to stay connected to my roots. Being half Iranian half Iraqi living in London made me feel slightly disconnected from any sort of culture when I was younger. But as an adult I am so so grateful for the diversity of my life and how it has shaped me, and I am ridiculously proud of my roots ✨

In a world that’s always pushing us to yearn for more, learning to nurture a grateful heart is so important 🩷

Gratitude makes everything we already have and all our experiences richer and fuller. It’s like a light that shines on everything and allows us to see how amazing life is 🙏🏼

If you woke up in a warm bed this morning, if you can see the clouds in the sky, if you were able to have a warm shower, if you had a job to go to, if you were able to call your mum, dad or friends, if you were able to move around, if you were able to feed your body… your life is full of miracles ✨

A grateful heart thrives on recognising the beauty in everyday moments, today and every day, I am grateful for LIFE 😘

MINDSET MAKEOVER 💁🏽‍♀️💄

Ever heard of the saying “if you don’t like what you see in the mirror, change it”? Well, here’s my thoughts on that based on my personal experience of it ☺️

Change, always begins within, it’s always an inside job that reflects on the outside over time. It’s a journey beyond the reflection in the mirror and what you can see 🪞

From my personal experience and that of my clients, it’s safe for me to say that this dissatisfaction with what you see almost always requires a mental and mindset revolution rather than just a physical overhaul. It’s about rewriting thought patterns, shifting limiting beliefs and learning to love every version of yourself throughout all the changes you make and see in your journey 🩷

Self perception is POWERFUL!

If you can’t accept and love yourself exactly as your are, change becomes toxic and comparison led rather than a way of growth and self awareness 🙃

Physical change is the byproduct of the journey towards seeing the beauty in every step taken, every scar earned, and every imperfection that tells an important story 🙏🏼

You have to change inside before you can truly change the outside 👏🏼

Change your mindset and everything else will fall into place beautifully, I promise 😘
