WorldSkills UK Hairdressing Competition 2026
Huge congratulations to our creative students who have made it through to the WorldSkills UK Hairdressing Competition 2026!
Our students will now compete in a LIVE regional heat, showcasing their technical skill, creativity, and professionalism across two practical hairdressing tests taking place on Monday 29th at Kingston College.
This achievement highlights not only the exceptional talent and dedication of our students, but also the strength of our industry-led hairdressing training and professional partnerships.
We wish Matilda and Elizabeth every success as they continue this exciting journey — we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

Celebrating students achievements with a

day marked a significant event in our college journey with an exchange program at a college in Chiba, located 1.5 hours from Ikebukuro. This institution was chosen for its strong focus on hairdressing and barber courses, making it an ideal destination for our students.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the head teacher and his team, who set a positive atmosphere for the day. Our students quickly integrated with their Japanese counterparts, engaging in a variety of hands-on activities. They observed and participated in demonstrations of essential skills, including shaving, perming, shampooing, and nail art.
Despite language barriers, students communicated effectively using translation apps, which facilitated interaction and collaboration. It was heartening to see friendships beginning to form, as they shared their skills and experiences throughout the day.
Overall, the exchange program provided our students not only with practical knowledge but also with the opportunity to connect with peers from a different culture, making it a day filled with learning and camaraderie.
