Everyone was far too busy writing for photos today, but we let our imaginations loose on the artwork of Chris Van Allsburg, writing the 'missing' stories to go with the pictures in this fantastic book:

Y5 and 6 were so busy finishing theirs off until the last minute that I didn't manage to snap any stories from them ✍️✨️!

Two great classes today working with some amazingly imaginative children!
We had everything from quests to return stolen treasure to its rightful owner to Hobbit-style expeditions to find a hoard of gold, with monsters, dragons, rockfalls, werewolf chases and raging rapids thrown in along the way! 🧭🏔🪨💎💰
Looking forward to tomorrow's first creative writing class of the Autumn term-we'll be on a quest to find hidden treasure in the world of our own fantasy maps! ☸️✨️🧭🏔🏞

Magic was certainly in the air this morning during our writing class! We had stories set in the 17th century when witchcraft was rife, a sports day filled with magic and mayhem, a lightning blast power used to beat school bullies and a story about finding out your magical destiny! All from a group of 7 and 8 years olds with amazing imaginations✨️
