Katey's Nursery & Pre-School At Katey’s Nursery, we provide a nurturing environment for children up to age 5, focusing on physical, intellectual, and social development. Our team supports each child’s growth in a caring setting.

Sometimes the simplest play brings the biggest learning! ✨
Pre-schoolers in Hampton Court explored the car park platform, driving cars up and down the ramps, creating little traffic jams, and then grabbing the tools to fix their vehicles! 🔨🔧
What looked like simple fun was actually full of rich learning: they used imagination to create stories about cars, practiced problem solving as they worked out how to repair them and developed communication and taking turns skills. Through their play, they explored prepositions as well as early science concepts such as forces and speed. 🚗

At the start of September, we had an Ofsted inspection here at Katey's Kingston. We're pleased to say that the report has been published today and we've retained our 'Good' grading! The inspector praised our high expectations for children's learning, how we work closely with our parents, and the ways in which we support children's emotional well-being. 🌿🦎🐌 ZooLab Visit! 🐍🕷️🐛

Today we had an exciting visit from Ken at ZooLab, who brought along a fascinating variety of creatures – from snails and snakes to a tarantula and many more amazing insects and animals! 🐜🦗

The children had an unforgettable time exploring, learning, and even getting hands-on with the animals — and our lovely staff couldn’t resist joining in too! 💚

A big thank you to Ken for such a fun and educational experience! 🧠✨

After sharing our lovely memories from the summer, Miss Stephanie took us back to Greece with a delicious Greek salad 🥗.

The children had so much fun exploring the fresh ingredients, chopping them up, and serving their creations for tea time. 🌿🍅🫒🧀

Every day our little ones head out to explore the world right on our doorstep. 🏡✨

Today’s adventure took us through the sights of Kingston, from admiring the statues 🗿, to soaking up the colours of the flower market 🌸🌼, and discovering fresh treasures at the fruit market 🍎🍐🍊.

There’s always something new to see, touch, and experience. We love watching curiosity come to life! 💛

As children join the preschool classroom, our team in Hampton Court has introduced a meaningful twist to morning register time. Not only they practice their mark-making skills, but also check in on how they feel- inspired by ‘The Colour Monster’ story 💛💚💙♥️ This simple routine supports both early writing and emotional literacy, helping children name, understand and share their feelings ✨

Today we had a very special visitor at our Ham setting ✨✉️
One of our wonderful parents came in to share his job as a postman. The children were excited to learn how letters are delivered and even received surprise envelopes from their loved ones 💛 Such a lovely way to connect learning with real-life experiences and strengthen our partnership with parents! ✨
