These feathered friends have just flown away to be with their new owner who kindly commissioned me to create a scene incorporating her favourite birds.

Italy- a wealth of scenes, colour and texture that just keep inspiring. I’m enjoying creating these small works in my garden with Z**i my cat and a drink or two (or 3 or 4)…. #

The walls and Windows of Italy are providing me with great inspiration for some new fabric work. There’s nowt like pealing paint and flaking plaster to get my creative juices flowing! This incorporates cut work, whip stitch and needle turning. Swipe to see detail and source.

A set of these pieces, along with other stitched, printed and digital artworks are on show at Venue 13 as part of the KAOS Kingston Artists Open Studios event starting next weekend. There’ll be 3 other artists showing with me and loads of other artists at other nearby venues on the art trail. Come along to see unique and original artwork and meet the artists. All welcome.
