Today marks the launch of our ‘Wellbeing week’ activities beginning with our ‘Deep Learning Day’ celebrating the importance of inclusion and diversity.

🌟Reminder🌟 Next week is ‘Well-being week’; an opportunity for pupils to participate in a range of activities to promote the school values: kindness, teamwork and resilience!

Pupils will have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities including: our ‘Deep learning day’, a visit to Hollywood Bowl and offer feedback during the ‘Class council’ session with Mrs Horne (Principal).

…it was lovely to see Josh this morning from our N2 group playing rugby and representing his team club, Hull Knights!

It is always great to see our pupils, representing their clubs and developing new interests and talents-well done Josh!

A special shout out to Josh in our N2 group for a wonderful piece of creative writing based upon the book, ‘The boy in the striped pyjamas’.

Mrs Horne (Principal) was really impressed with Josh’s fabulous vocabulary and varied use of sentences-a huge well done!

Well done to our very own Mr Lowthorpe who took part in his first training session for Life For a Kid last night!

Mr Lowthorpe will be proudly participating in a charity rugby match on Saturday 5th September, raising money for a very important local charity.

Great work Mr Lowthorpe, we are very proud of you!

What a fantastic afternoon our Early Intervention Team had at Compass Academy today!

We spent time talking with students about the importance of acceptance, kindness, and respect for others, as well as the impact that racist and inappropriate language can have on people and the consequences that can follow.

The students listened brilliantly, joined in discussions with maturity, and showed a real willingness to learn and reflect. They were an absolute credit to the staff and school community.

A huge thank you to Compass Academy for welcoming us — conversations like these are so important in helping create safer, more inclusive communities for everyone 💙
