Join us on Wednesday 24th June for the St Cuthbert’s Trust Summer Music Spectacular at Hull City Hall, where over 400 talented pupils will take to the stage for a celebration of music, creativity and community.

Expect a first half showcasing the instrumental prowess of the pupils, with Rock & Pop bands, folk string ensembles and orchestral showstoppers. The second half will feature mass choir items and vocal soloists, with repertoire selected from movie favourites and popular culture!

Today is the feast day of St Augustine of Canterbury who was a Benedictine monk and the first Archbishop of Canterbury.

Today we think of everyone in our community at St Augustine's School, in Scarborough, most of whom are enjoying the half term holiday, whilst a small group are in the middle of their pilgrimage in Lourdes.

Sustainability Champions in Pocklington

We see the green shoots of our Trust mission lived out every day.

This month we want to give a particular shout out to the team at St Mary and St Joseph's VC Academy in Pocklington for the excellent work they are doing. We recently delivered a sustainability spotlight shared with Directors which highlights exactly what it means to build a culture where stewardship is lived practically.

Through their weekly Eco Warriors club, creative tyre planters and pupil waste monitors, they are demonstrating how we can care for our common home.

By grounding their curriculum in hands-on learning, from Forest School sessions to community litter picking, they are helping our children grow into the leaders of tomorrow.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension, a Holy day of obligation and an important celebration of Jesus' ascension into heaven following His Resurrection.

Celebrated 40 days after Easter, we are reminded of Jesus' promise to be with us always, foreshadowing the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost .

As the exam season begins, everyone at our St Cuthbert’s Trust sends a huge "Good Luck" to all pupils sitting their SATs tests, GCSEs and A-Levels.

We know how hard you have worked in preparation for these with the help of your families and teachers. We want you to do your very best with this chance to show what you have learned; we are already so proud of the resilient, talented and kind individuals you have become.
