Today I finally handed over the keys to my house.
13 years of raising my babies there, three of them literally born there!
Moving house has been quite possibly the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, I truly underestimated how difficult it would be, both physically and mentally. I’ve cried a lot, given up a lot and threatened to burn everything down a lot…I truly couldn’t have got through it without my amazing friends who have carried stuff, laid floors, built furniture and just generally kept me going. Genuinely do not understand folk that move house by choice 😅
My kids have soldiered on despite the last few months being a bit s**t and we are now soooo ready for our new lives in our new home 🥰❤️💪

Just a few pics from our trip to Cornwall in September.
Second visit there this year and as always we didn’t want to leave!

Happy 12th birthday to this beautiful boy!
The one who threw everything I knew about parenting out the window, has taught me I can survive 12 years without sleep, and that the world you live in is so much more fun than everyone’s else’s. My whirlwind, my joy, my best friend. Happy birthday my boy 🥳❤️

As a mother, a home educator, and particularly an unschooler, I do my best to encourage and follow my children’s interests as best as I can. I spend hours researching resources, days out and other things to let my children take every interest to it’s full potential. I provide a learning environment they can thrive in and I take every opportunity available to facilitate their learning and enthusiasm in any way I can. Home education is a choice that literally takes over our full life and is a choice that takes a lot of hard work and dedication, both to our children and their education. I’m determined to give my children every opportunity they need and deserve to have the careers and lives they want when they’re older.

So you can imagine my sheer happiness and pride when today, Theo proudly ran up to me and said “Mummy, when I grow up I’m going to be a reversing lorry!”

Happiest of birthdays to my beautiful Freddie Maverick! I can’t believe he’s five 🎈🥳

There isn’t much we know about Stickler Syndrome, but the one thing we do know is that it’s progressive. Sometimes there’s such a focus on all the things Freddie can’t do and not enough on the things he can do…So here’s to more gymnastics, dancing, swimming and riding bikes and playing with friends. There’s so much more my boy is yet to achieve. Yes the future may be uncertain but we’ve definitely had the best time so far 🥰❤️

“If you wasn’t home educated, you’d have started school this week Freddie!”

“No thanks” 😂
