14 Days we've been out in solidarity with our Striking University of Hull Lecturers and Staff. It's snowed, rained and we even had some sun some days! It's been a honour to stand on the Picket Line surrounded by comrades and it's been the best education of our life!

It was an emotional final day on the picket line, Joe stole the show as always and we’re all united in our determination to continue student staff solidarity into the future.

We’re now in the Old Grey Mare listening to a teach out on automation, come join us!

We’ve got too many people to fit into the pub, so we’re having the teach out session right here on the picket! Join us at the main entrance of the university to hear about how Neo-Liberal policies are affecting the education of those 16 and under.

A new week, a new batch of strikes. Today students and Hull University UCU we were joined by Unison in support of fair pensions for lecturers, together we can win this ✊.

Thank you all that turned out today on the picket line in support of striking lecturers and university staff, as you know the lecturers and some students are holding Teach-out sessions during strike action, would be great to see many of you here there are more being added every day and we will keep updating the list as we get them! Good evening everyone,
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the start of the third week of planned industrial UCU strikes by our lecturers and university staff, would be great to see many of you there this week, as support in the past two weeks has been absolutely fantastic and let's keep this up! As well as the usual picket line there are plenty of Teach-out sessions planned this week which have been very well attended so far! Would be great to see so many of you out supporting your lecturers and university stuff again this week.

Well today brought an end to the second week of strike action, it's been amazing to see the turnout of students grow each and every day, the lecturers are so grateful for all of our support and it's amazing to see what difference we have made within two weeks. We now go back to university, back to our lectures and prepare hopefully for a warmer third week of strike action. Solidarity to all!

UCU and Universities UK will be going for more talks through conciliation service ACAS to try and resolve . The current action remains on. The strike needs to remain strong to help UCU negotiators. Take care. Rest tonight and wrap up warm tomorrow!

Further talks agreed in universities pensions dispute UCU said it was pleased that Universities UK (UUK) had agreed to further talks to try and end the disruptive strike action currently affecting 61 universities

Well the snow didn't put people off coming on the picket line today! While Universities UK, issued a call for more talks but said the discussion would not reopen the decision to press ahead with the changes, the picket line stands stronger than ever! The added addition of the megaphone brought by one of the students was a great addition. Hope to see you all tomorrow! Don't let the snow overnight put you off, plenty of hot drinks on the picket line to warm you up!

Another productive morning on the Salman Grove picket line, engaged lots of people and got lots more signatures on our petition despite the harsh conditions!
