Found this article from a 1982 Beverlonian. Possibly moment of transition from the school it was to the modern Comprehensive school it is today....

A little bit of history .....The sports pavilion at Beverley Grammar School was built and funded by the Old Boys Association . Following the end of the First World War, an Old Boys Memorial Fund was initiated in 1918 to honor former pupils who had lost their lives in the conflict. The association raised nearly £1,200 (a significant sum at the time), and the pavilion was officially completed and opened on the school field in 1928.
