In a new interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, John Godber talks about his latest play *This Is The Life* – a brand-new comedy set backstage in a struggling local theatre where the people keeping the lights on are fighting to save more than just a building.

Yorkshire playwright John Godber at 70: 'My writing is still for the underdogs' As playwright John Godber passes his 70th birthday, his enthusiasm for writing is as strong as ever. He spoke to Chris Berry about his latest play, This Is The Life, the first time he has written about the theatre.
