We are excited to announce that will be taking over the live lounge on Thursday 27th February with a line up of Hull based artists.

This will be a VERY limited entry showcase and exclusive live recording session featuring Hull band plus more tbc.

Come and be a part of history and join us in the recording studio for this unique experience!

Combining influences from both past and present artists across various genres, The Froot always aim to bring to you an ever growing and refreshing sound; whilst maintaining their roots in the boundary breaking music of the Psychedelic 60s and 70s.

announce Next Up North, the first artist development programme specifically supporting emerging artists of marginalised genders and sexualities from the North of England. 

With support from Arts Council, Breed Media, Crowdable, Eiger Studios, GLOW Artists, and un:hurd music, will help six artists to reach the next stage of their musical careers. Successful applicants will receive recording opportunities, PR and radio plugging support, a vinyl compilation release, a live performance opportunity, workshops and mentoring.

The six successful artists will be chosen from a shortlist by a blind selection panel of industry professionals, hosted at CPWM’s annual conference I Know A Place in Leeds, on January 31st 2025.

Eligibility: 
Next Up North is CPWM’s flagship artist development programme specifically supporting emerging artists of marginalised genders and sexualities, from the North of England. For full eligibility requirements and definitions of terms used, see their page and links.

Chatting with experts from Bradford, Sunderland, Norwich and Belfast, we talked about the importance of community, uniqueness and building a sustainable and safe space for music to grow on an independent level.
