By redesigning our referral pathways and investing in student support, our Safeguarding and Counselling service teams have helped hundreds of young people access the support they need sooner.

In collaboration with Smith+Nephew, Think Mental Health and Think Cloud, we set a new Guinness World Record for the most users in a mental health awareness video lesson!

It was an incredible moment that brought people together around an issue that matters to us all - raising awareness of mental health and helping more people understand the importance of looking after themselves and each other.

Following our recent session exploring life as a paramedic, our Public Services and Criminology students have been learning about another side of the emergency services.

Yesterday, they heard directly from Andy Dunn - Force Vetting Manager at Humberside Police - about the police vetting process, gaining an insight into what’s involved when applying to join the police and what’s expected of future officers.

Sessions like these are a great way to bring learning to life, ask questions and discover more about the careers you could pursue after your studies.
