Stay safe around water this summer

As families enjoy time outdoors during the summer holidays, please remember the lifesaving advice from the RNLI:

πŸ“± Phone 999 and ask for the Coastguard if someone is in trouble in the water
πŸ›Ÿ Float on your back to help stay calm and conserve energy
πŸ›Ÿ Throw something that floats to help them stay afloat until emergency services arrive

Taking a few moments to learn the Float to Live message could help save a life.
We wish all of our families a safe, happy and enjoyable summer holiday.

We are delighted to have signed up to the Summer Reading Challenge again. This is managed by local libraries, so you can sign up at your local library.

The Summer Reading Challenge is designed to keep children reading during the long summer break, when reading habits can easily dip without the routine of school. By taking part, children are encouraged to discover new books, build confidence and enjoy reading in a fun and relaxed way.

The challenge is free to join and open to children aged 4 to 11 years of all reading abilities. Whether they already love books or just need a bit of encouragement to get started, the Summer Reading Challenge helps make reading fun, achievable and rewarding. Children collect stickers for each book they read and can earn a certificate and a medal at the end too.

Thank you for your ongoing support for our work in encouraging our children to read for pleasure.

As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, we would like to thank all of our pupils, families, staff, governors and volunteers for their support throughout the year.

It has been a year filled with learning, achievement, laughter, friendship and many memorable experiences. We are incredibly proud of everything our children have accomplished and grateful for the strong partnership we share with our school community.

A special mention goes to our Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their journey. We wish them every success and happiness for the future.

We hope all of our families have a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on 2nd September 2026.

Hand in hand we learn, we grow, we soar.

Today, we gathered at St Mary's, Kingsclere for our Year 6 Leavers' Service, a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the memories, achievements and friendships that have shaped our pupils' time at Kingsclere CE Primary School.

Surrounded by families, staff and friends, the service celebrated the journey our Year 6 children have shared and looked ahead to the exciting opportunities that await them. As part of the service, each pupil received a Bible and a candle, symbols of faith, guidance and light as they take their next steps.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and to come together as a school community to mark this important milestone. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our parents and carers and the strong partnership that helps our children thrive.

We are so proud of our Year 6 pupils and all they have achieved. We wish them every success and happiness as they move on to the next chapter of their educational journey.

A big thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who joined us for our Volunteer Tea Party this afternoon.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, care and enthusiasm you give to our school community. Whether you help with reading, school trips, events, fundraising or many of the other activities we offer, your support makes a real difference to the children and staff at Kingsclere CE Primary School.

Many of the enriching extracurricular opportunities we provide simply would not be possible without your generosity and commitment. Thank you for giving your time so willingly and for helping our children learn, grow and soar.

We are very lucky to have such a fantastic team of volunteers.

Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a fantastic Oscar Night-themed leavers' disco, making a grand entrance as they walked down the red carpet before dancing with their friends and receiving their Oscar.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 5 pupils, who helped make the evening so special by supporting the event and joining in the celebrations. It was lovely to see everyone having fun together, creating memories that will last long after primary school.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 children and wish them every success as they take their next steps.

What a fantastic day we've had at Kingsclere! Today, children across the school came dressed as their favourite rock stars to celebrate Times Tables Rock Stars and all the hard work our pupils have put into developing their times table knowledge.

Our KS2 children enjoyed a range of TTRS battles, challenges, and mini competitions, while our KS1 Little Rockers proudly showed off their 2, 5, and 10 times tables. The school was filled with music, enthusiasm, creativity, and plenty of mathematical confidence!

A huge thank you to everyone for embracing the spirit of the day. The costumes were amazing, the effort was incredible, and it was wonderful to see children having so much fun while celebrating their learning.

Keep rocking those times tables, Kingsclere!
