From medieval castles to the Jurassic Coast, military training to New York, Enrichment Week was a chance for pupils to step beyond the classroom and embrace new challenges, experiences and adventures. 🌍

Across the school, pupils camped under the stars, explored Warwick Castle, tackled archery and orienteering, took on Thorpe Park, aqua adventures, city challenges and the Malvern Ridge Walk.

Our 3rd Form CCF Cadets spent the week at Camp Inskip, developing leadership, resilience and teamwork, while other pupils took part in volunteering and a host of action-packed activities.

The Lower Sixth chose between a varied programme of volunteering and adventure activities, or dedicated time to their DofE expedition training and assessment.

For our Art pupils, the adventure stretched even further afield, with an unforgettable five-day trip to New York, exploring its iconic landmarks, museums, galleries, architecture and artistic heritage. 🗽🎨

Alongside the enrichment programme, our cricket teams enjoyed a packed week of fixtures on the Benfield Cricket Pitch — including a memorable unbeaten century from Tom Brown, the first Kingham Hill pupil in seven years to reach the milestone. 🏏

It’s been a fantastic day on the Hill as our Year 11 pupils celebrate an outstanding set of GCSE results, marking the culmination of two years of hard work and high aspirations!

🏆 51% of all results were Grades 9–7 (over double the national average of 22%).

🌟 33% of results were Grades 9–8.

📚 Particularly strong performances across Further Mathematics, English Literature and STEM subjects.

Behind the headline figures are some brilliant individual achievements; Gabriel achieved straight 9s, alongside an outstanding A* in Mathematics A Level, taken a year early, and Aria achieved seven Grade 9s with three Grade 8s.

Head, Pete Last, said: “I am enormously proud of our Year 11 pupils, who have worked extremely hard over the last two years. These results are a fantastic reflection on them.”

“Today, we celebrate not only the excellent results achieved by the year group, but also the stories behind them. Pupils have challenged themselves, exceeded their own expectations and made remarkable progress during their time at Kingham Hill.”

“The encouragement, guidance and belief of our teachers has also been key to helping pupils grow in confidence, develop their strengths and aim high.”

We look forward to welcoming many of our pupils back to Kingham Hill in September as they begin their Sixth Form journey.

Following Speech Day, into the evening the Sixth Form rounded off a fantastic day, and celebrated their time at Kingham Hill, with their traditional Summer Ball. 🕺💃

With a Mediterranean Sea theme, everyone dressed to impress for an evening of delicious food, brilliant music and a wonderful atmosphere under the marquee. And, of course, no summer ball would be complete without a ceilidh, expertly called by Mr Steele!

It was wonderful to see pupils and teachers celebrating together, dancing the night away and making memories to mark the end of their time at Kingham Hill.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate another strong year of academic achievement at Kingham Hill School.

🌟 45% of all A Level, BTEC and CTEC grades were awarded at A*–A (or equivalent), significantly above the national average of 28.5%.

👏 Two thirds of all grades were awarded at A–B.

These results are a testament to the ambition, determination and dedication of our pupils, alongside the exceptional teaching, guidance and support they have received throughout their time at Kingham Hill.

A huge congratulations to our Upper Sixth on an outstanding set of achievements, and to the staff, families and wider school community who have supported them along the way.

🎓 And now, the next chapter begins...

Our pupils are heading to universities and specialist colleges including UCL, King’s College London, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Exeter, Bath, Nottingham, York, Southampton, Loughborough and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Summer holidays mean more time to dive into your favourite games... 🎮☀️ But have you ever wondered who gets to play them before anyone else?

A group Kingham Hill pupils did exactly that last term, stress-testing a new video game, uncovering bugs, and giving feedback directly to the developers ahead of launch. 🕹️

Their work was so valuable that they'll be credited in the final game release! 👏 Who knows where a love of gaming could take you?

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Cooke as the next Head of Kingham Hill School from January 2027.

Mr Cooke joins us from Langley School in Norfolk where he has served as Headmaster. He brings thirty years of experience in education including over twenty years in senior leadership.

Throughout his career, Mr Cooke has sought to create school communities in which every pupil is known and valued, encouraged to develop their confidence, character and talents, and given exceptional support and opportunities to flourish. Under his leadership, Langley School has delivered outstanding outcomes for its pupils, including being among the top 10% nationally for GCSE progress and the top 25% nationally for A Level progress.

We look forward to welcoming Simon and his family to the Kingham Hill community.

Whether it's through our Combined Cadet Force, CTEC Sport, or the weekend activities programme, pupils regularly get the chance to build their mountain biking skills on some incredible trails.

This time, they took on the tracks at Coed y Brenin Forest Park🌲⛰️

From steep descents to technical trails, the trip was all about building confidence and having fun along the way.

Can you believe it's already been a month since our art pupils returned from an unforgettable five days in New York City?! 🗽🎨

Packed with inspiration and iconic experiences, the group enjoyed breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Empire State Building, as well as exploring world-famous collections at the Guggenheim Museum and MoMA. Every day offered new opportunities to experience art, architecture and culture first-hand.

Of course, no trip to NYC would be complete without soaking up the atmosphere of Times Square, shopping at Macy's and enjoying some classic American dining! 🍔🛍️

As another academic year came to a close at the beginning of July, we celebrated at Speech Day, recognising the achievements, growth and character of our pupils.

From inspiring speeches and prize-giving, to musical performances and our Art & Photography Exhibition, it was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on another successful year at Kingham Hill.

Head Mr Last reminded pupils that, like a plant carefully nurtured in its pot, they have been given the foundations, encouragement and opportunities to flourish as they begin the next stage of their journey. Guest speaker and Hillian Nim Anderson also encouraged pupils to embrace the future while remembering that no technology can replace lived experiences, meaningful memories and the stories that make us who we are. Heads of School, Georgia and Herbie, alongside Deputies Fin, Harriett and Maita, delivered moving speeches that looked back with pride and ahead with hope.

The afternoon concluded fittingly with tea on the lawn and a friendly cricket match between the Barings 1st XI and Hillians.
