Back with my P7 learner today! 🥰🥰🥰

Today we started by working through some homework before completing a little assessment to see how she’s getting on with some of those trickier areas of learning. ✏️📚

I love using short, relaxed assessments when getting back into tutoring with my learners. They give me a really good idea of where each child is at, highlight any areas that might need a little extra support, and help me tailor and plan our learning for the weeks ahead.

I’ve worked with this learner since P6, so it’s been so lovely to see just how much her confidence and learning have progressed! 🥰

Assessments during my tutoring sessions are completely pressure-free. We work through things together, talk about different strategies and, if something is tricky, I’ll guide the child through the steps rather than simply focusing on getting the right answer. The aim is always to build understanding and confidence. 💡

I can also create individualised assessments tailored to your child and their learning needs, which can be a great way to identify where some extra support would be beneficial.

✅ 6:30pm – 7:15pm — AVAILABLE

📆 THURSDAY
✅ 3:30pm – 4:30pm — AVAILABLE
✅ 4:45pm – 5:45pm — AVAILABLE
✅ 6:00pm – 7:00pm — AVAILABLE

✨ Flexible session lengths available
My one-hour available slots can also be booked as 30-minute or 45-minute sessions, depending on what would suit your child best.

📚✨ PRIMARY TUTORING – SPACES NOW AVAILABLE! ✨📚

As the new school year begins… it’s time to get tutoring up and running again! 🥰

After a wee break, I’m so excited to welcome back my lovely learners and I’m also opening up a limited number of spaces for new children starting in September! ❤️

👩‍🏫 A little bit about me…
I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher, local to the Stewarton, Kilmaurs & Kilmarnock area. I have:

⭐ 3 years’ teaching experience
⭐ 2 years’ private tutoring experience
⭐ Over 10 years’ experience working with children

Over the past two years, I’ve built up a lovely wee group of children who I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring, some of whom have been with me long-term! My aim is always to make tutoring feel positive, relaxed and encouraging while helping children grow in both their confidence and ability. 🌟

✨ BLOCK TUTORING
I offer blocks of 4 weeks, 8 weeks or longer. This is ideal for children who would benefit from consistent support with a particular area of learning. Each session can build on the previous one, allowing me to adapt and tailor lessons as we go.

Consistency is key! 🔑

⏰ 30-MINUTE SESSIONS
I’m also offering shorter 30-minute sessions. These are perfect for focusing on a specific skill such as times tables, handwriting, spelling or another targeted area without committing to a full hour.

Most importantly, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. ❤️ I’ll get to know your child, find out where they need support and plan sessions around their individual needs, pace and confidence.

One of my longer term tutor pupils has been working on their literacy. We worked on homophones- words that sound the same but mean different things.
He loved the variety of different activities and as you can see by his work he understood what we were learning very well!!

This is just an example of the type of learning I can provide to your children 😘

As the new school year begins, I’m so excited to be opening up spaces for some wonderful new kids!🥰 This past year has been such a joy—watching my amazing learners grow in both confidence and ability has been incredible, and I can’t wait to see what this year brings for my superstar tutor pupils! 🌟

I currently have some after-school availability and I’m also considering weekend sessions to help support busy parents—so we can find something that works perfectly for you and your child. I’m all about being flexible and making learning fun, engaging, and confidence-boosting. 💙
