Our Senior Musical Theatre students have been working incredibly hard this term on a performance from Legally Blonde, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and progress!

From learning choreography and vocals to developing their acting and storytelling, they’ve thrown themselves into every class with enthusiasm and determination.

Musical theatre is about so much more than performing. It helps young people build confidence, develop strong acting, singing and dance skills, improve teamwork and communication, and learn the value of discipline, resilience, and supporting one another!

Watching our students grow both on and off the stage is what it’s all about. 💖

Today’s Mini Musical Theatre class was inspired by the wonderful story What the Ladybird Heard! 🐞

Our little performers had so much fun bringing the story to life by becoming different characters and acting out the adventure together. Using books and storytelling is such a fantastic way to spark children’s imaginations, encourage them to get into character, build confidence, and develop their performance skills through play.

We loved seeing their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm shine today! 🌟

Congratulations! Another amazing result for our student Livvy who recently took her Musical Theatre Exam, we are so proud of all your hard work Livvy, well done 👏 🌟

We are very excited to be welcoming David Schaal to the school on Thursday 23rd of July to teach a bespoke acting class.

David is an English actor, writer, director, and comedian best known for playing “Taffy” in the hit sitcom The Office and Terry Cartwright (Jay’s dad) in The Inbetweeners.

He trained at Rose Bruford College. Over the years, he has appeared in a wide range of British TV dramas and comedies including EastEnders, The IT Crowd, Ghosts, and Doc Martin, as well as films such as The Inbetweeners 2 and Mr. Nobody. Alongside acting, Schaal has also written and directed theatre productions and short films.

The cost is £20 per student, friends of LWTS are welcome.

This is a great opportunity for students to learn from David who has so much experience of the industry both in theatre and screen.

We have a few days out at Wicksteed Park planned over the summer holidays. We have been doing these days out for years and they are always a great success with students. Family and friends are invited, so spread the word. We need to be safely in our ratios, so numbers will be limited, book early to avoid disappointment.

Monday 27th July 9.30 - 5pm

Monday 10th August 9.30 - 5pm

£38 per child or £70 for both dates! This includes wristbands to enjoy the rides.

All students are to be dropped off and collected at the main entrance, and come with a packed lunch and drinks, including hats and suncream if it is a particularly hot day!

All payments are to be sent via the normal bacs and please reference your Child’s name e.g rubywicksteed.
