Try our strategies for spelling plurals:

Add -s: For most nouns, simply add -s (e.g., cat → cats). 🐱

Add -es: For nouns ending in s, x, z, ch, or sh (e.g., box → boxes, bush → bushes). 📦🌿

Change y to ies: For nouns ending in consonant + y (e.g., party → parties). If the noun ends in a vowel + y, just add -s (e.g., boy → boys). 🎉👦

🎲 Play our 'Countdown' game with your child, a fun way to practise their arithmetic skills. 🧮

You'll need:

1. Some card and felt-tip pens. On these create:
a. Large number cards: 25, 50, 75, 100.
b. Cards with digits 1–10 (at least 2 of each).

2. Three dice (or one rolled three times).

How to play:

1️. Place the 4 large number cards face down. Do the same with the 1–10 cards.

2. Pick large or small number cards until 6 are chosen.

3. Generate a 3-digit number by rolling the dice.

4. Add, subtract, multiply or divide the selected numbers together to try and reach the target number. You can use each number more than once, and use different steps to get to the target.

Adapt for younger children by aiming for 2-digit totals.
