🎉 GCSE RESULTS DAY! 🎉

I’m so pleased that four of my GCSE English tutees achieved the pass they were working towards this year!

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them and watching their confidence and skills develop. GCSE English can feel like a real hurdle, particularly for students who are resitting, and I’m incredibly proud of the work they’ve put in and what they’ve achieved. 💛

I’m now taking bookings for 2026/27 GCSE English Language tuition, with support available in Kendal, the South Lakes and online.

📚 1:1 GCSE English Language Tutoring • 45-minute sessions
• £360 for a block of 10 sessions
• Individual support tailored to each student

⚡ NEW: November Resit Intensive — Online For students who are eligible and entered for the November GCSE English Language resit.

A small-group, AQA-focused intensive with a maximum of just 5 students, designed as a focused run-through of both papers before the November exams.

• 21st & 28th September — Paper 1 • 12th & 19th October — Paper 2 • 5.45–7.15pm • 90-minute online sessions • Maximum 5 students

£195 for the course. Max 6 students

💻 GCSE Language Skills Lab — Online Starting 10th November

Tuesdays, 5.45–6.30pm

Four focused 5-week blocks covering: • Paper 1 Reading
• Paper 1 Writing
• Paper 2 Reading
• Paper 2 Writing

£150 per 5-week block / £510 for all four blocks.

Sessions focus on developing comprehension, analysis and writing skills, building confidence and helping students understand exactly what GCSE English Language exam questions are asking them to do.

📚 GCSE English 1:1 Tuition — only 2 weekly spaces available!

I'm opening up my tutoring diary for the new academic year and currently have just two regular 1:1 slots remaining:

✨ Tuesday — 4.30pm
✨ Thursday — 4.30pm

I'm a qualified English teacher offering individual GCSE English Language tuition, with each session tailored to the student's needs. We can focus on anything from building confidence with reading and analysis to developing writing skills, exam technique and working towards specific GCSE targets.

It's scary leaving a full time job to explore completely unknown options. The expectation of routine classes, seeing over a hundred students almost daily, report writing and meetings and all the thing that make up the daily teaching diet just gone! Terrifying.

Alongside feeling a bit scared, I am also incredibly excited for a new chapter and so appreciative of my new wonderful tutees already signing up.

I now have only a couple of available slots and will be opening up an extra slot Wednesday at 5.30pm.

Saying all that, I am still a little sad that I may never receive another animal farm cake like this beauty below!
