Well, here we are, moving into the heart of this much discussed, fantastically intense, deeply personal while still globally significant evolutionary period. Of course the story is told in the stars and it has to be now. From the opening signals in 2008 through to 2026 the now is the pivot point. Pluto is the conductor, actually superconductor, positioned firmly at the threshold between the old and the new, the traditional and the innovative, the controlled and the unpredictable.

Pluto moves from Capricorn to Aquarius this Thursday, 23rd March, 8:13 am EDT - just after noon GMT. It will remain right there on the threshold, at 0 degrees Aquarius for nearly 3 months, vibrating between moving forward and moving backward, between direct and retrograde movement. The conductor stands in one room looking into the other, mixing, blending the qualities of both, which is just what we all must do now, carrying precious sanity and caution into the freedom of rebellion, holding to the neutrality of transformation in the face of catastrophic upheaval

Let us seek out and discover some unexpected common ground between them. Evolution suggests the human race will never be the same again. Let’s do our part to ensure kindness is carried forward.

The Moon is going to be very busy for the next few days. After crossing into the lively, never-stop, never even slow down, mentally energetic sign of Gemini (buzzzzz!!) Moon will make contacts with Jupiter, Chiron, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Neptune and Pluto. And Moon’s contact with Sun, is a New Moon and a Solar Eclipse, which may bring a mixed message.

The time just prior to new moon (11:58 am BST – 6:58 an EDT on Thursday 10th June) is the wrap-up of the previous moon cycle. All energy is drawing in toward that moment and new projects started then may not have sufficient vitality to push through to completion. The time just after the new moon is the start of the new cycle and all energy is building.

However, two factors carry a caution. Although there will be LOADS of exciting new ideas around, lots of words, observations, thoughts, sharing, planning, longings, it’s a better time to receive and collect, than to take initiative and go out into action. Why? Because there is no Moon, there could be unrecognised mysteries. There are facets deep within which have no light shining on them; things which will come to light, but later, after the Moon moves on past the Sun.

And secondly, Mercury is still retrograde and will be until 22nd June.

Changes in our personal lives that occur at eclipses can leave long lasting impressions. Fill them with good intentions.

The 26th of May 2021 is full moon day, falling across the Gemini – Sagittarius axis, which was the topic of CLASS 4, in our zoom Course: First Principles of Astrology. This month’s solar-lunar sky stretch, sees the outgoing, positive, masculine sun in Gemini and the incoming, receptive, feminine moon in Sagittarius. Here we have polarisation of well-established mental dynamics. On the one hand mental activity engages a personal style of fact-finding or logic while on the other, one might ‘just know’ - exclusive of thought. While the pursuit of Gemini involves moving information around, that of Sagittarius is fulfilled by the meaning held within the information. Gemini is The Puer, off on an adventure accompanied by his little dog Toto, while Rodin depicts The Thinker, cogitating. As is usual on a full moon, no matter which side you gravitate toward, it may seem that everyone else has moved in the opposite direction. Don’t become isolated; mentally stretch across and reach for the other’s point of view.

The 26th May full moon is a Lunar Eclipse! not just a normal monthly opposition of sun and moon, but a super opposition for which the earth and the ‘moon’s nodes’ line up too. See if the moon looks brighter than usual. Now it can ‘bring to light’, that which has been lost, hidden, concealed, broadcast. Especially with the involvement of Gemini and Sagittarius, all the cards are on the table - legal matters and open conflicts, comings together and splitting apart, confinements and releases (allies, marriages, companies). The amount of energy released can coincide with great changes in our personal and public affairs.

Today is full moon day, across the Ta**us - Scorpio axis, the one we discussed in our CLASS 6 of The First Principles of Astrology course. The Sun is in Ta**us and the Moon is in Scorpio. It can feel like a tug or war between experience and innocence, power and control on the one hand, and all sweetness and life on the other, like the decent into autumn and the lift off into spring. If you identify very strongly with one end of this polarity, everyone you meet today will seem to be standing firmly on the opposite side. But, it’s only a tug of war until we discover the mid-point: the power of purity, the transformational quality of gardening. Then it’s all go – the strength of youthfulness is available today to all of us. Just ask.😊
