Nominations to stand for a committee position at Keele Mooting Society are now open!

Start making your nominations and campaigns to secure a place in the committee, all positions are available!

Nominations close on the 25th of April.

To make a nomination , head to the Keele SU website.

In order to run for election for a committee position, society membership is necessary. If you are interested but not a current member, you can sign up for membership through Keele SU’s website.

Voting opens Wednesday 4th May at 9am

Keele Mooting Society is delighted to be collaborating on the Legal Skills Triathlon with Keele Law Society and Keele Women’s Law Society to bring you the competition of the year!

Participants will have the opportunity to participate as pairs in a 3 part competition, with each round being hosted by the 3 different society’s.

The pair with the highest score overall wins the competition ! And the top 3 teams will be awarded with prizes.

The UK Centre for Animal Law is pleased to announce that the Cecilia Moot Competition will be running for the third year (2021-2022), and has now officially launched.

The competition will take place online, via zoom. The deadline to enter the competition is November 5th, 2021, and the competition will take place December 4-5, 2021. Students will receive details including the moot problem, rules, and terms and conditions once the competition closes, November 5th, 2021.

This moot is centered on the fascinating topic of animal law, an area of increasing importance. It provides candidates with the opportunity to exercise, in a challenging environment their advocacy and legal skills as well as their creative mindset, in arguing on what can be unprecedented points of law. Candidates will delve into the legal and ethical arguments surrounding animal law.

This initial round will be followed by finals, which will take place in 2022, and various prizes will be awarded during the finals competition.
