A remarkable set of results in the sciences.

Every one of Gumley's 47 separate-science students achieved grade 5 or above in each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

The proportion achieving grades 7-9 was equally impressive:

• Biology: 81%
• Chemistry: 87%
• Physics: 70%

These exceptional outcomes are the product of sustained hard work, expert teaching and a school culture that encourages young women to be curious, analytical and ambitious in STEM.

Faith and scholarship belong together at Gumley.

As a Catholic school, we are especially proud of this year's Religious Education results. Across 158 entries:

• 87% achieved grade 4 or above
• 79% achieved grade 5 or above
• 54% achieved grades 7-9

Religious Education challenges students to think deeply, examine evidence, engage respectfully with different perspectives and consider the great questions of meaning, justice and human dignity.

These outstanding outcomes show that a rich Catholic education can be intellectually rigorous, personally formative and academically ambitious.

We congratulate our students and thank the RE team for all they have done to help them flourish.

Strong foundations. Ambitious outcomes.

This year's GCSE results show impressive achievement in English and mathematics at Gumley House School FCJ.

In English overall, 95.6% of students achieved grade 4 or above and 89.4% achieved grade 5 or above. In mathematics, 88.1% achieved grade 4 or above and 75% achieved grade 5 or above.

At the highest grades, 46 students - 28.7% of the entire year group - achieved grade 7 or above in both English and mathematics.

These are the qualifications that open doors to sixth form, university and future careers. We are proud to see so many Gumley students leaving Year 11 with the knowledge, confidence and choices they deserve.

We are immensely proud of Gumley House School FCJ's Year 11 students and the strong GCSE results they have achieved.

• Attainment 8: 60.2
• 85% achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and mathematics
• 74.4% achieved grade 5 or above in both English and mathematics

Behind every figure is a young person whose hard work, resilience and ambition deserve to be celebrated. These results also reflect the expertise of our staff and the invaluable encouragement of families.

A successful academic Sixth Form opens doors to subjects, universities and possibilities. Alongside students progressing to Oxford and Cambridge, today we celebrate two distinctive and intellectually ambitious pathways.
🌏 Zuzanna B achieved A*, A, B and has secured a place at SOAS University of London to continue her studies in Chinese—an exceptional accomplishment in a highly competitive field.
🏛️ Maia LK achieved A*, A, B and is heading to the University of Leeds to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Their journeys demonstrate the breadth of academic ambition at Gumley and the confidence our students develop to pursue their individual interests at a high level.

From biomedical engineering and marine biology to the highly competitive courses our students will pursue at Imperial College London, Gumley students are preparing to contribute to the future.
🧪Ken achieved an incredible four A* grades and is heading off to Imperial College to study Chemistry
🔬 Ife achieved three A grades and has secured her place at King’s College London to read Biomedical Engineering.
🌊 Joana achieved A*, A, A, B and will join the University of Portsmouth to study Marine Biology.
Our academic provision is enriched by leadership and learning opportunities involving organisations including NASA, Sky, Imperial College, the Institute of Education and universities across the country.

Academic excellence at Gumley extends across a broad and ambitious curriculum.
Among this year’s subject highlights:
⭐ 100% of Further Mathematics grades were A*–B, with 67% at A*–A.
🎨 100% of Art grades were A*–B, with 71% at A*–A.
🌍 100% of Italian grades were A*–A.
📚 100% of Polish grades were A*–B, with 67% at A*–A.
➗ 70% of Mathematics grades were A*–B and 90% were A*–C.
These results reflect expert teaching, committed study and a Sixth Form in which students are encouraged to pursue intellectual challenge. Congratulations to our students and subject teams.
