We are looking forward to meeting you on our upcoming Open Events in September and October.

Come along to our Open Evening on: Wednesday 16th September 2026 5-7:30pm. No booking required. Headteacher talks are at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm* - for the 7pm talk please arrive at 6pm for a tour.

Last week we took a group of students to King's College, London next to Guy's Hospital as part of the Scholars Society (Brilliant Club) for their Graduation. It was a glorious day in central London where students had a tour, asked lots of questions about uni and student life and then graduated with Firsts for their essays.

Today we welcomed debut author Steve Blackman talking about his incredibly current and relatable sci-fi action book called Zero Override that came out last Thursday. Students were treated to a presentation on his books but also delving into robots and AI. They also programmed a staff member to draw at smiley face. A brilliant morning despite the warm weather it was great.

Over the next 2 weeks, we are hosting our annual Diversity Fortnight to celebrate our amazing, inclusive, and diverse culture. We will have Diversity themed lessons across the curriculum, reading lists, movie nights, and more.

We hosted a poster competition across the Trust, and this is our winning poster for the event. We'll done Krisha in Year 10.

Let’s celebrate our differences, respect and be kind remembering that we maybe different but always equal.

We are thrilled to announce that our annual Year 11 GCSE Art Exhibition is just around the corner!

Join us next Thursday, 18th June, from 3:15-6pm in the Main Hall, as we celebrate the incredible artwork of our talented GCSE cohort this year.

This lovely event is a wonderful opportunity to view the culmination of our students' hard work and creativity, and we can't wait to share it with you. To make the evening even more special, we will be providing drinks and nibbles for your enjoyment.

And, as an added bonus, Year 5 Parents, this event is also part of our iConnect Event, taking place the same evening, so be sure to mark your calendars! Don't miss out on this fantastic chance to see the artistic talents of our students shine. We look forward to seeing you there!

Before half term we welcomed Lisa Williamson author of several Middle Grade and Young Adults books to our school doing an author event on the publication of her latest YA book, The Summer After the Night Before.

It was a brilliant and engaging event, with so many students asking thoughtful and interesting questions.

As part of our reading programme at The Green School for Girls, we make sure that every year group will get one author event to support and encourage reading for pleasure.
