AMAZING NEWS!!!!!!!

Year 6 have been exploring the world of rap music in today’s music lesson by creating their own beats using a drum machine app on their Chromebooks!

The classroom was full of creativity as the children experimented with tempo, layers and different sounds to build their own unique tracks which they then shared with the class.

Over the next few weeks, they’ll be taking things even further by writing and performing original rap lyrics to go alongside their beats.

Ks1 have been exploring the 5 senses in Science! 👀👂👃🤲😛👅
We have tried new foods, rated different smells, played sound bingo and had to use their touch and description to guess an item hidden in a bag!

Ks1 enjoyed a live lesson about money and also they have entered a competition about how number is used in the community. This was all part of our school celebration of National Numeracy Day 2026! 🔢

EYFS have had a great morning so far. We have been on a donkey ride, petted the animals in pet corner and went on a tractor ride. We are now enjoying our lunch.

Kickstart will be delivering a Holiday Club at another Prestolee MAT school - Mesne Lea Primary School from Monday 26th May to Thursday 5th June. Bookings are now open.

The club will offer children a fun and engaging holiday experience, with flexible booking options available.

⭐️Year 6 Superstars ⭐️

Massive congratulations to our Year 6 pupils for their amazing effort and positive attitude during SATs week! They have shown resilience, determination and maturity every single day. We are so proud of how hard they worked and the way they supported each other. They truly smashed it! 👏🏼🥳

This afternoon, the work didn’t stop! We looked at the importance of budgeting and managing money. Trying to design a dream bedroom on a tight budget proved challenging - but they did an excellent job! 💷
