Today at Bridge Wood we explored reflections and creativity in the woods. Using mirrors, the children carefully observed their own facial features before creating faces on the trees using mud and natural treasures found on the woodland floor.🍂🪵
We also enjoyed spending time with our bird books, matching the birds on the pages to the sound buttons to hear the different calls. As we listened, we became aware of the birds singing all around us in the woodland and tried to recognise which ones we could hear. 🐦🎶

Recently at Little Leaders Ransomes, we have been going on lots of adventures outside of the nursery🚶
The children have enjoyed getting into their appropriate weather clothing and making sure they have their hi-vis jackets on so we can be seen.
Once we’ve set off, children and staff enjoy spotting all the different things we can talk about later ….
We’ve seen trucks, birds, squirrels and even police cars! 🚔
The children also enjoyed a recent adventure to explore one of our local parks. Everyone was super excited whilst we walked towards the park and once we arrived they couldn’t wait to have a go on all the equipment .
We used the swings, slide and even the see-saw!🛝

🌿 This afternoon we took a trip to Landseer Park and quickly noticed that parts of the field had become flooded, possibly after heavy rain? 🤔 While enjoying our snack, we talked about how lots of rain can cause small floods when the water can’t drain into the ground quickly enough. We even spotted some birds enjoying a little swim! 🐦💦
We also discovered some hills from the bike trail. After checking they were free to use, we couldn’t resist running up and down them — exploring different ways to move our bodies, build confidence and challenge ourselves physically! 🍃💪
