In Reception next week, we will continue to share our story "Owl Babies". We will be making puppets to retell the story. We will be matching the initial sound to the image at the phonics table. We will be learning how to subitise in the maths area. We will be looking closely at leaves as we create our own leaf rubbings. We love learning in Reception

In Bluebells, we have been working on our writing; using paint brushes, different types of pens, sticks, our fingers and magic & fairy wands to strengthen our hands. We have been focussing on copying patterns and writing letters from our names. Here is what 2 of our brilliant Bluebell's did this afternoon.

Year 3 chestnuts have had a focus on presentation this week. Our star of the week Anita wrote this incredible story inspired by the traditional tale "The Magic Paintbrush'. In Anita's story Li is given the power to grow plants to help her village until the evil Mei finds out! Take a look at her brilliant use of simile and interesting adjectives (as well as that incredible handwriting). Well done Anita!

Willow Class (Y4) have been experimenting with collage, considering the size and shape of their pieces to create a balanced composition.
