A huge thank you to our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) for sharing such an important safety message during Collective Worship this week.

The JRSOs visited the railway crossing in Great Blakenham to learn and demonstrate how to cross a railway crossing safely. They then shared their learning with fellow pupils, helping everyone understand how to stay safe near railway tracks and crossings.

To further promote this important safety message, the children will be designing posters to share with the wider community.

Well done to our JRSOs for being excellent role models and helping to keep our school and local community safe!

We can always rely on our trusty gardeners to keep our garden well watered in the hot temperatures! 🌱

There is still plenty of planting going on and it’s wonderful to see the care and enthusiasm being shown. We can’t wait to see what begins to grow, and of course, to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables!) of their hard work.

A fantastic example of teamwork, responsibility and patience in action ✨

Following the success of our U9 cricketers, our U11 team have been working hard in preparation for their upcoming tournament on Wednesday 10th June. 🏏

With just two training sessions remaining, focus, determination and teamwork are really starting to shine through. The pupils have shown great commitment as they continue to develop their skills and build confidence as a team.

We are very proud of their efforts so far and look forward to seeing them in action soon. ✨

Work is really coming along on our entry for the Spirited Arts 2026 competition!

This fantastic project is a brilliant way to engage pupils while also raising the profile of RE and encouraging deeper reflection on one of our key Bible stories linked to our school vision and values.

Our focus is Noah’s Ark (Genesis 6-9) exploring the theme of trusting God even when things are difficult or others may not understand.

This connects beautifully to our Christian vision and Philippians 4:13 - when we trust and follow God, He gives us the strength to do what feels impossible. Through faith in Jesus, we are reminded that we can do all things, and that our faith can shine as a light and a ‘wonder’ to others.

We can’t wait to see the finished work! ✨

Our Values Awards for 15th May celebrated pupils who have truly shone by demonstrating respect, courage, responsibility, perseverance and trust.

A special mention goes to our Year 6 pupils who showed incredible courage, perseverance and responsibility during their SATs - what a fantastic achievement in a challenging week.

Across the school, pupils were recognised for a wide range of achievements, from academic effort and sporting determination to kindness, honesty and reliability in everyday school life.

Well done to everyone, you continue to make us proud by living out our school values every day! ✨

Pupils enjoyed some delicious sweet treats as they broke up for the half-term holiday, while helping to raise even more money towards our remembrance bench for Mrs Tweedy.

We are delighted to share that we have now raised £203 and have also received a very generous £100 donation. With the bench costing £369 we are getting very close to reaching our target!

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising so far. Mrs Tweedy played such an important role in our school community, we look forward to creating a special place where her memory can live on and pupils can enjoy moments of quiet reflection ✨

Our Year 6 pupils spent the morning of Friday 22nd May taking part in Crucial Crew, a national personal safety programme designed to equip young people with important life skills as they prepare for the transition to high school.

Rather than learning through traditional classroom lessons, pupils experienced a series of interactive, real-life scenarios led by professionals from local services and organisations. Rotating through a range of workshops, they explored topics including first aid, online safety, cyber bullying, social media awareness, water safety, anti-social behaviour, healthy relationships and making safe choices in their communities.

Pupils fully immersed themselves in the experience, asking thoughtful questions and engaging enthusiastically with every activity. It was a valuable and informative morning that will help them stay safe, confident and responsible as they move on to the next stage of their lives.
