Dovedale have really enjoyed our Healthy Schools Week. We have been learning about healthy foods, making fruit kebabs and healthy milkshakes, making our own healthy sandwiches for a picnic, carrying out mindful colouring, calming activities like peer message, being outside with nature and exploring food based sensory trays.

As part of our focus on staying healthy and active, Rufford Class enjoyed a lovely walk around the beautiful surroundings of Matlock Bath yesterday.
Today, we continued to keep active by playing football outside before returning to the classroom for a healthy snack. The children enjoyed a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables with hummus for dipping, along with plenty of water to stay hydrated. It has been a fantastic couple of days promoting healthy lifestyles while having lots of fun!

Yesterday, Rufford Class enjoyed one final trip together before we say goodbye to our wonderful Year 11 students. 💙
We spent the day in Matlock Bath, enjoying a lovely walk along the river and treating ourselves to a well-earned ice cream. 🍦 It was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their time with us and make some lasting memories together.
We wish all of our Year 11 students every success and happiness for the future. You will be missed! 🌟

What a fantastic year we've had! From visits to the farm, water play, and trips to the park, we have enjoyed so many wonderful experiences together. This final week has been just as much fun, with the children making delicious pizzas, running our very own ice cream shop, and practising our spaghetti threading skills. It has been a year full of smiles, laughter, learning, and special memories. We are so incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved and how much they have grown. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer!

Elvaston have visited Allestree park for their last Forest School session of the year today. The have explored the woodland and used their previously learnt knowledge to identify woodland plants and features. They then explored the lake wetland and learnt about the animals that live in, on and around the lake habitat. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch together under the woodland canopy.
