One week ago, we hosted our annual Music on a Summer’s Evening Jazz Concert at Sir James Hawkey Hall, and what an evening it was! 🎶🤩🎫

Our Saxophone Ensemble, Youth Choir and Jazz Orchestra groups stunned the audience with energetic, vibrant performances, while soloists dazzled the room with rich, expressive numbers on the piano, saxophone and vocals.

We were very excited to also include a student jam session in the interval, where audience members could experience the joy of jazz improvisation while having a refreshment.

We were so proud to show off our students’ hard work and wanted to pass on a recommendation: don’t miss out on this fantastic event next year!

Primary School Choir of the Year 2026 🎶

We were proud to host our second Primary School Choir of the Year, a joyful celebration of young voices and a shared love of singing!

Held biennially between our Royal Albert Hall Choral Festivals, this event is all about great music‑making, teamwork, confidence, and creating a supportive space where every choir can shine ✨

Huge congratulations to our winners Christchurch Primary, with Cranbrook Primary taking 2nd place and Fairlop Primary 3rd — such an incredibly close competition! 👏

Thank you to all the schools who took part, and to everyone who helped make the day so special.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again in 2028! See you there.
