Happy May Day! 🎗️🌼

There’s nothing quite like the joy of children dancing around the maypole—ribbons weaving through the air, laughter ringing out, and the spirit of spring in full bloom.

Today we celebrated the season of renewal and community, filling the day with colour, movement, and smiling faces. A truly beautiful way to welcome May!

We’ve had such a fun and busy April at nursery, and we’re excited to share some of the lovely moments your children have enjoyed!

This month, the children embraced the arrival of spring. We spent time outdoors exploring nature, looking for signs of new life, and enjoying the fresh air. There was lots of excitement as we talked about blooming flowers, insects, and changing weather.

Inside the nursery, the children got creative with arts and crafts, making colourful spring-themed pictures and experimenting with different materials. We also enjoyed plenty of singing, dancing, and story time, which brought lots of smiles and laughter to our days.

We celebrated special occasions throughout the month with themed activities, helping the children learn about different traditions in a fun and engaging way. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they try new things and build friendships with one another.

Happy St. George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

To celebrate St. George’s Day, our Investigators took part in an exciting outdoor role-play, bringing the legendary tale of St. George and the dragon 🐉 to life in the garden.

Working together, the children built a castle and designed their own cardboard swords and shields in preparation for their heroic quest. They eagerly stepped into the roles of brave knights, daring riders, and villagers in need, using their imagination to defend the kingdom and “slay” the dragon. The garden was filled with energy, creativity, and collaborative play.

Through this activity, the children strengthened their storytelling and communication skills by retelling the story, while also developing cultural awareness as they explored this traditional English legend and its significance.

🐣✨ Easter Fun at Nursery! ✨🐣

What an egg-citing time we’ve had! The children loved Easter egg hunts, showing off their bonnets, eating a yummy tea party and lots of giggles along the way! 🐰🎨

Goodbye March 🌼

March has been a fun and busy month! The children enjoyed learning about spring, creating colourful crafts, and exploring outdoors in the fresh air. 🌼

We celebrated World Book Day, sharing stories and dressing up as favourite characters. 📚
