🥊✨ What an incredible Kiddie Sangat - Ilford session we had today!

A huge thank you to Jag, Bir, Dara, Rai and Davina from GC Boxing for delivering such a fun, energetic and engaging boxing session for our children. The kids had an amazing time learning boxing basics, coordination, movement and self-defence — all while building confidence and having lots of fun. 💪🏽

It was also lovely to see the parents get involved too, learning, laughing and exercising alongside the children. ❤️

A warm welcome and thank you to all the new parents and kids who joined us today, and a heartfelt thank you to the parents who contributed to langar. Your seva and support are truly appreciated. 🙏🏽

We can’t wait to see you all at our next Kiddie Sangat session!

The movie is 2hr9min (we will have a brief interval during the film).

Sangat ji, please join us next Saturday 12th April 2025 from 3-6pm for our special Vaisakhi Kiddie Sangat - Ilford Session.

We will have crafts, a video and pizza for the kids to learn about Vaisakhi and its importance.

This weekend we have celebrated 13 years since first Kiddie Sangat group has open its doors to families in Southall. Huge thanks to teachers from .ealing for hosting this year’s programme

We had members of Bedford, Reading, Southall and Ealing groups attending

the children did wonderful presentations and shabads on Guru Tegh Bahadur ji to commemorate 350 years of their shaheedi

Crafts - 27 bead wooden mala (26 for the number of years Guru Sahib meditated at Bakala and 1 for guru sahib themselves, also a quarter of traditional 108 bead mala)
- small boat from the bamboo snack serving boats - sakhi about Makhan Shah. Guru Ladho Re
- Hind or Jagat di chadr - title of Guru Sahib after they have sacrificed their life for religious freedom of others

Next Sunday we have our end of year picnic and sports day event. We can’t wait to see you all there. Here are the details.

What: Kiddie Sangat Ilford picnic and sports day event

When: Sunday 4th August 2024
(10:30am to 1pm - however Sangat can stay longer should they wish)

Please note: we may move the location slightly on the day depending on if it’s busy but we’ll update it in the group.

Who: all that parents and kids who have attended or want to attend Kiddie Sangat. You can also bring grandparents and family should you wish.

Food: everyone is to bring their own food, mats, chairs, cutlery etc. we will not take responsibility for any loss or damage to your possessions.

Shared food: However, if anyone does want to bring any shared food/platter, please ensure that it is vegetarian (no egg, no fish, no meat and gluten free and nut free). Also if you do want to bring food to share, please dm +447940207203.

Pizza: we will be providing a few pizzas for kids to enjoy.

Rubbish: please ensure all your rubbish is cleared up before you leave.

Sports day: we will be providing some sports/games for the kids to enjoy and participate in (and maybe some of the adults too). Therefore feel free to bring a change of clothes for the kids. We’ll also be giving out medals to all the kids (but shhh 🤫 don’t tell them)☺️

Sangat ji, another lovely Kiddie Sangat - Ilford session in Ilford last month for Father’s Day. We through a sakhi on Guru Gobind Singh ji and express the importance of obtaining knowledge through reading and experiencing the Guru’s wisdom. That’s why we wanted to the kids to decorate bookmarks to reflect the continuous learning us Sikhs should do daily.

We hope your enjoyed the last session and we look forward to seeing you at the next, which is this Sunday 7th July from 10:30am to 12pm (Karamsar Centre, Ilford).
