When training pads try to make it as close to sparing as you can without the contact. Get your partner used to moving different directions, leaning back, ducking, slipping, keeping Range, keeping distance and concentrating for the whole time. Great way to get fitter and more responsive.

More than just martial arts … it’s a community.

One of the things I don’t think people talk about enough is everything that comes with training.

Yes, you’ll improve your fitness and learn real-world self defence, but you’ll also build confidence, reduce stress, improve your self-esteem and become part of a supportive community that wants to see you succeed.

Basic Self Defence. Learn how to keep your hands up, cover yourself and hit impactful. It’s very important to learn how to get out of certain techniques but it doesn’t mean a lot if you can’t hold your hands, up so Practice with someone if you’re not getting yourself to a class.. have a great day!

Though done properly, it won’t.

But more importantly, real situations aren’t perfect.
Be mentally prepared take a knock.
The priority is getting home safe.
