⭐ Year 7 End‑of‑Term Awards Assembly ⭐
Today, Friday 10th July, we celebrated our fantastic Year 7 students in their end‑of‑term awards assembly — a brilliant moment to recognise their achievements, their character, and the way they have embraced life at Hyde High School in their very first year.
Students were recognised across a wide range of categories, including:
Top 20 behaviour points — celebrating consistently excellent conduct
Zero negative points — recognising students who model Ready, Respectful, Safe every day
Subject awards — honouring outstanding effort and achievement across the curriculum
PRIDE values champions — Presentation, Resilience, Independence, Deadlines, Excellence
Head of Year awards — celebrating students who have gone above and beyond this term
PRIDE postcard prize draw — with one lucky winner receiving an Amazon voucher
Mrs Addison, Head of Year 7, has looked after this year group throughout their first year at Hyde High School. She is incredibly proud of how they have grown, settled, and embodied what it means to represent Team Hyde. Their kindness, maturity, and commitment to our PRIDE values have shone through every step of the way.
Now that they are ready for the next stage of their journey, Mrs Addison is preparing to hand them over to their new Head of Year 8 — while she looks forward to welcoming the next Year 7 cohort in September. She wishes all Year 7 students a safe, happy, and memorable summer holiday when we break up next week.
