Hello everyone!

My name is Jane, and I'm so excited to finally share that I'm beginning my journey as a pre-registered childminder, with spaces planned to open from September 2026.

🌿 Little by little… Little Wildflowers is coming to life! 🌿

We are super excited to show you!

We’ve been VERY busy behind the scenes at Little Wildflowers at No. 96 and I couldn't resist sharing a little progress update with you. 🥰
Our home is gradually being transformed into a cosy, nurturing little setting ready for lots of tiny hands, curious minds and big adventures. 🌸

This weekend’s progress includes…
🍳 Our new play kitchen is here!
Ready for lots of stirring, cooking, chatting and eventually some wonderful imaginative role play.

🌿 Our outdoor kitchen is underway!
We’re creating a lovely little space for water, nature and sensory play — perfect for mixing, pouring, scooping and exploring outdoors.

🦊 Our personalised belonging station is taking shape!
Each Little Wildflower will have their own special space for their coat, bag, shoes and wellies, complete with their own woodland animal and name. I really want even our littlest children to feel “this is my place and I belong here.” 🤎

🪑 And our new highchairs have arrived!
Ready for breakfasts, lunches, snacks and plenty of lovely little mealtime conversations together.

There are still boxes, tools and half-finished projects everywhere 😂 — but that's all part of the journey!

Everything I'm choosing has a purpose: creating a small, calm, home-from-home environment where children can feel safe and loved while having plenty of opportunities to play, explore, get messy and grow. 🌱
I can't wait to show you the finished spaces — there are lots more Little Wildflowers touches still to come! 🥰

🌿 A little Little Wildflowers update… 🌿

We’ve been busy behind the scenes again! 🦊🌼
Today involved a trip to IKEA to pick up even more little touches for Little Wildflowers at No. 96 as our home continues to come together ready to welcome our little ones. 🤎

I’m being really thoughtful about everything I add to the setting. I want to create a calm, cosy and inviting home-from-home where babies and toddlers can explore freely, follow their interests and, most importantly, PLAY. 🌿

There are new pieces of furniture being built, new resources arriving and lots of lovely areas beginning to take shape — from imaginative role play and cosy little hideaways to sensory experiences, open-ended play and outdoor adventures.

I’m trying to choose things that can grow and change with the children too, rather than creating lots of fixed activities. One day something might be a little shop, another day a café, a woodland den or somewhere for a teddy bear picnic! 🧸🍂
There are still boxes, half-finished areas and plenty of jobs on my list 😂… but Little Wildflowers is really starting to feel real now!

I can't wait until everything is finished and I can finally open the doors for families to come and see our little setting for themselves. 🏡🌸

🌿 A little Little Wildflowers update… 🌿

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on here recently, but I promise so much has been happening behind the scenes! 🥰

I’ve been busy making lots of changes and little adaptations around our home as Little Wildflowers continues to grow into the setting I’ve imagined. 🤎

Every decision is being made with our future little wildflowers in mind — creating a space that feels calm, cosy, welcoming and full of opportunities to play, explore and learn.
There are lots of exciting things happening, including…

🌸 Personalised name pegs to give every child their own special space and that lovely feeling of “I belong here.”
🧸 Lots of beautiful new toys and resources chosen especially for little hands.
🌿 New sensory and discovery baskets to encourage curiosity and exploration.
🪵 More wooden and open-ended resources for imaginative, child-led play.
🎨 Plenty of opportunities for messy, sensory and creative play — because childhood is supposed to get a little messy!
🏡 And lots of room changes to give our little ones more space to crawl, toddle, explore, rest and simply be little.
There is so much thought going into every little corner, and I’m so excited to eventually open the doors and show families what I’ve been creating. 🥹🌿

Every Child Blooms in Their Own Time 🌸
🌿
One of the most important things you'll hear me say at Little Wildflowers is...
"Every child develops at their own pace." 🤍
There is no race.
No pressure.
No comparisons.
Every little wildflower is wonderfully unique.
Some children will be chatting away before they're two, while others are quietly taking everything in.
Some will love climbing, running and exploring outdoors.

Others will prefer sitting with a book, building towers or caring for a teddy.
And that's exactly how it should be.
As a qualified EYFS Primary School Teacher with a Master's in Early Years, I've learnt that children thrive when they're given the time, encouragement and confidence to develop naturally.

At Little Wildflowers, I'll celebrate every achievement...
🌼 First smiles.
👣 First steps.
🗣️ First words.
🎨 First masterpieces.
🤍 New friendships.
🌿 Little moments of bravery.
Every milestone matters, no matter how big or small.

My role isn't to rush children...
It's to gently nurture them, encourage them and cheer them on as they grow into confident little people.
Because every flower blooms in its own season... and every child deserves the time to bloom. 🌸

Little Voices, Big Smiles 🎵🧸

One of my favourite parts of the day will always be...
Singing together. 🎶🤍

At Little Wildflowers, nursery rhymes are so much more than just songs.

They help children to...
🎵 Build language and communication skills.
🧠 Develop memory and listening skills.
👏 Learn rhythm, turn-taking and coordination.
😊 Express emotions and build confidence.
💚 Most importantly... they bring us together.
We'll use puppets, teddies, musical instruments and story props to bring every rhyme to life. Whether we're rowing a boat, hunting for bears, watching tiny spiders climb or singing about five little ducks, every song becomes an exciting adventure.

Children learn best when they're actively involved, and using props encourages even the quietest little voices to join in.

As a qualified EYFS Primary School Teacher, I've seen first-hand how music supports every area of a child's development. It's a wonderful way to nurture confidence, imagination and a lifelong love of learning.

So don't be surprised if you hear lots of singing coming from our little woodland home...
Because happy children make joyful music. 🌿🎶

🌿 WAITING LIST NOW OPEN 🌿

Little Wildflowers at No.96 is delighted to announce that our Priority Waiting List is now open for children starting from September 2026 onwards. 🤍

If you're looking for a calm, nurturing, home-from-home childcare setting where your little one can play, explore and grow through nature-inspired learning, I'd love to hear from you.

✨ Offering places for: 🌼 Children aged 3 months to 3 years 🌼 Full-time and part-time spaces 🌼 Flexible days and hours where possible 🌼 Open all year 🌼 Government-funded childcare accepted (where eligible)

To ensure every child receives the time, care and attention they deserve, I will be caring for only a small number of children, meaning places will be very limited.
Once my registration is complete and everything is ready, I'll be inviting families on my waiting list to an Open Day, where you'll be able to explore the setting, meet me, ask any questions and see what Little Wildflowers is all about before making any decisions.
