We are delighted to share with you all that we have been awarded the status as a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence!

We are proud to have our achievement in developing students' oracy (speaking, listening and communication) skills recognised and celebrated by the national oracy education charity, Voice 21. We have been a Voice 21 Oracy School since 2023 and this award is a milestone in our oracy journey.

Becoming a Voice 21 Centre of Excellence certifies and celebrates that we are leading the way in providing a high-quality oracy education for students and acting as a beacon of good practice for over 1200 Voice 21 Oracy Schools nationwide.

To secure this recognition, we needed to demonstrate the quality of oracy education being provided across five areas of school life: our school’s vision, culture, curriculum, learning and impact on students.

By putting oracy at the heart of our teaching and learning across all subject areas, we are supporting students to become articulate communicators who are able to present themselves confidently across a range of settings and contexts, from group discussions to formal presentations.

🏏 FREE Girls Dynamos Cricket Taster Session! 🏏

We’re excited to be hosting a FREE girls-only Dynamos cricket taster session at Newton Cricket Club! 💚

With the help of a fantastic female Cheshire cricket coach, we’ll be introducing girls aged 8–11 to Dynamos cricket — a fun, friendly and exciting way to get into the game.

We’re hoping to launch a girls-only Dynamos course next year with female coaches, and this session will help us understand the interest and see how many girls would love to get involved. 🌟

Whether your daughter has played before or is completely new to cricket — everyone is welcome! Come along, have some fun, give it a try and bring a friend. 🏏
