📣Attention📣

Our lending library is now up and running!
We love reading books to the children at group times and they often bring books over to us during the day to read to them.

Books are vital for children because they build language skills, expand vocabulary, and spark imagination.

So help yourself to a book or bag, take them home and have fun reading! 📚🛌

If you have any questions about the lending library please let us know 😊

⭐️Week 2 families⭐️

This week has all been about families.
We used playdough to make the different people in our families.
At group times we read 'Our family' and the children happily spoke about their own Mummies, Daddies, sisters, Brothers and Grandparents.

We had lots of different coloured rice in the tray and hid the childrens family photos and they used tweezers and their hands to try and find their own photos and if they found someone elses they named who it was 👦👧

We had lots of fun in the garden this week using the stilts, chalks, footballs and the sand ⚽️🚴‍♀️🛴

We also went on our first walk to the park this week, the children did amazing walking there and back and had lots of fun playing 🛝 we even got to see a Jet fly over us ✈️

⭐️Week 1 All about me⭐️

What a busy first week back we've had. We've welcomed lots of new children this week and we're so proud of how everyone has settled in.

The children had a great time exploring both inside and outside. The Dinosaurs and Trains were a firm favourite this week 🚂🦕🦖

We spoke to the children about the different emotions and then used paper plates to draw how the children were feeling 😁😔😠

We put some oats in trays and used chopsticks to draw different patterns in them 🥢

All the tapestry accounts have now all been sent out, if you haven't recieved an E-mail (it will be from Tapestry) please let us know and we'll look into this for you.

Can we also please remind everyone to name their childs lunchbox, bottle and coats/jackets 🧥

Welcome back everyone!!

We hope you all had a fantastic summer and we can't wait to hear about all of your adventures!🛩🏖🚲🛴⚽️

We have lots of new Children joining us this term and we're looking forward to meeting them and their families.

We do have a little staff update, unfortunatley Anett decided to leave us during the summer, we would like to thank her for everything she has done for the Pre-School and wish her all the best in her future career.
We have Helen joining us, she'll be doing Mondays, Tuesdays currently and Fridays from October.

We're so excited to see what this term brings.

The Children love this when it comes to the Pre-School, if anybody is around it's a great time to choose some different books 😊📚

📚 Free books for children aged 0–11! 📚

I’m excited to be bringing Storybook Village to Alconbury Weald Library on Wednesday 12th August, from 10.30am–12pm.

Children are welcome to come along and choose up to 5 books each to take home and treasure, completely free of charge.

Whether your child is already a little bookworm or just discovering the joy of stories, I’d love to help them find some new books to enjoy.

💛 All families are welcome.

I’m always grateful for donations of good quality second-hand children’s books, helping me continue to share stories with local families. If you have books looking for a new home, please send me a message and I can arrange collection or drop-off.

The books are given away entirely free of charge. If you wish to leave a donation, there will be a voluntary collection for The Angels Foundation UK.

I can’t wait to welcome lots of little bookworms! 📚

I think we were all hoping for an England final, but unfortunately it was not meant to be.

Congratulations to Spain and Argentina on getting through to the final! ⚽️

We think the Children have really enjoyed our World Cup journey and helping us fill out the chart when their teams played.

We got a lot of "did my team win", "is my team still in". Unfortunately we did get some unhappy ones when their team was knocked out! 😔

The prizes have been given out to the 2 teams through!

⭐️Week 16 fun week⭐️

This week started off with a lovely walk and play at the park.

The Children made Watermelon Pizza with Yoghurt for the sauce and Blueberries and Chocolate chips for the toppings 🍕

We made Dinosaur eggs with special messages inside them, the Children really enjoyed using the hammers to try and break them apart and got really excited when they found the message inside 🦖🦕

They built with the magna tiles, played with the cars and did lots of dancing and games.
