π Welcome Back! π
We hope everyone has had a fantastic half term break and made the most of the glorious sunshine! If we're lucky, the second half of our summer term has taken note and will keep the sunshine switched on all the way through to the summer holidays... we're certainly keeping our fingers crossed! π€βοΈ
With just one half term to go, we're ready for a busy, exciting and memorable few weeks ahead. From school trips to performances, celebrations and all the wonderful learning still to come, the second half of the summer term is always one of the best parts of the school year.
For our Year 6 children, this marks their final term in primary school. There will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate their achievements and create lasting memories before they move on to their next adventure... but we're not quite ready to think about that just yet! π₯Ή
Please remember to send your child with a sun hat, water bottle and a layer of sun cream π
Here's to a fantastic final stretch full of smiles, sunshine and making memories together!
As we reach the end of another busy and successful half term at Hemingford Grey Primary School, we would like to say a huge well done to all of our amazing children for their hard work, resilience and positivity throughout the term. π
From wonderful learning in the classroom to sporting events, trips, creative projects and special moments across the school, we are incredibly proud of everything our pupils have achieved.
A big thank you as well to our dedicated staff and supportive families for helping make our school such a caring and positive community.
We hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy some well-earned rest and family time in the sunshine.
We look forward to welcoming the children back refreshed and ready for the final part of the school year!
Rumour has it the sunshine is finally on its wayβ¦ just in time for half term next week! βοΈπ
Weβre looking forward to a fantastic final week of learning, laughter, and hopefully a little bit of sunshine before everyone enjoys a well deserved break.
Letβs make this last week before half term one to remember! ππβ¨
πβοΈ SATs Week is underway at HGPS! π
Our fantastic Year 6 children began their SATs yesterday, and we are already so proud of the calm, confidence and resilience they have shown.
They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year and are well prepared for the week ahead. Remember, SATs are just one small part of their journey and do not define the many talents, strengths and qualities that make each of them so special.
A big thank you to our staff and families for their continued support, encouragement and, of course, those all important good breakfasts! ππ₯£
Keep believing in yourselves, Year 6 youβve got this! πͺβ

π Club Spotlight: Lunchtime Gardening Club π
This week weβre shining a light on our fantastic Lunchtime Gardening Club! π± π
Our young gardeners have been hard at work planting colourful flowers and carefully tending to our strawberry plants. Itβs been wonderful to see their teamwork, patience, and pride as they nurture the garden and watch it grow.
A calm, creative space where children can connect with nature and learn new skills π
Weβre so proud of everything theyβre achieving! πΈ
Well done to everyone involved! π

Friday Round-Up!
What a week itβs been! The days have been lovely and mild, making it a great time to be busy both inside and out.
Across the whole school, children have been busy sowing tomato seeds, which theyβre excited to nurture and eventually bring home. π±π
Thereβs been football, cricket, dancing and thatβs only at lunchtime! Itβs been fantastic to see so much energy, teamwork and joy across the playground.
We wish all our families a restful weekend and look forward to another week of smashing it next week! Maybe there will even be enough sunshine for a cheeky BBQ this weekendβ¦ we can hope! βοΈπ₯
