🌟 WOW… what a first day back! 🌟

And just like that… we’re back!

After a summer of lie-ins, holidays, ice creams and “what day is it?”, our school was buzzing again today!

It has been SO lovely to see our children back through the doors -reunited with friends, catching up with teachers and, of course, remembering where they’re supposed to be going!

There have been huge smiles, excited chatter, lots of laughter and some seriously impressive first-day-back enthusiasm. Our new starters have also done an absolutely fantastic job settling in. 💛

The children have been busy learning, exploring and getting back into the swing of school life.

What a brilliant start to the new school year. We’re already excited for everything this year is going to bring!

Well done, everyone! Day 1 = DONE!

🌞 Welcome Back! 🌞

We hope everyone has had a fantastic half term break and made the most of the glorious sunshine! If we're lucky, the second half of our summer term has taken note and will keep the sunshine switched on all the way through to the summer holidays... we're certainly keeping our fingers crossed! 🤞☀️

With just one half term to go, we're ready for a busy, exciting and memorable few weeks ahead. From school trips to performances, celebrations and all the wonderful learning still to come, the second half of the summer term is always one of the best parts of the school year.

For our Year 6 children, this marks their final term in primary school. There will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate their achievements and create lasting memories before they move on to their next adventure... but we're not quite ready to think about that just yet! 🥹

Please remember to send your child with a sun hat, water bottle and a layer of sun cream 😎

Here's to a fantastic final stretch full of smiles, sunshine and making memories together!

As we reach the end of another busy and successful half term at Hemingford Grey Primary School, we would like to say a huge well done to all of our amazing children for their hard work, resilience and positivity throughout the term. 🌟

From wonderful learning in the classroom to sporting events, trips, creative projects and special moments across the school, we are incredibly proud of everything our pupils have achieved.

A big thank you as well to our dedicated staff and supportive families for helping make our school such a caring and positive community.

We hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy some well-earned rest and family time in the sunshine.

We look forward to welcoming the children back refreshed and ready for the final part of the school year!
