We are an average-sized friendly Infant and Junior School, sited at the edge of the Colne Valley, close to Huddersfield town centre.

Today we are celebrating the jobs of our wonderful support staff - our cleaners, our caretaker, our kitchen staff, lunchtime supervisors, our office staff, our teaching assistants and our computing technicians.
School support staff are vital to the effective running of a school, but this is not often recognised widely as they are usually tucked away behind the scenes. They are the unsung heroes of children’s education.

Yesterday, as part of their learning about 'People Who Help Me,' our Reception children enjoyed a visit from two police officers, who came to talk with the class about what they do. The children asked lots of questions, enjoyed dressing up and looked inside the police van.

Last Thursday afternoon, Year 5 participated in the annual Interfaith Festival at St Marks Church. The theme for this year's event was 'Community: Together We Serve.' They spent lots of time practising and they sang beautifully on the day. We are so proud of everyone - Well done!
