Last week, Cherry Class delivered an amazing pupil-led assembly to mark World Refugee Week. The children were brilliant, sharing their learning and helping us to think about the challenges and difficulties that many refugees face around the world.
They encouraged us all to reflect on how we can make people feel welcome, valued and included within our own community. They gave us plenty to think about and sparked some important discussions across the school.
Following the assembly, Cherry Class continued their learning by designing these fantastic posters, promoting messages of kindness, empathy and welcome.
Well done, Cherry Class! We are so proud of the confidence, maturity and compassion you showed throughout this important learning experience.

What an incredible day at the Horsham District Sports Competition last week!
We are extremely proud of all our children who represented the school with such enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event.
A huge congratulations to our Year 3/4 team, who were crowned Horsham District Champions, finishing in 1st place with an outstanding 2,793 points β an impressive 375 points ahead of the runners-up. Their teamwork, effort and resilience were exceptional from start to finish.
Our Year 5/6 team also performed brilliantly, securing a fantastic 3rd place against strong competition from schools across the district.
These results are a testament to the hard work, commitment and positive attitude shown by all of our athletes. We would also like to thank the staff and families who supported the children and helped make the day such a success.
Well done to everyone involved β we couldn't be prouder! ππ₯π₯

ππ΅ Launching the Summer Reading Challenge! π΅π
We had a fantastic assembly this week to launch the Read to the Beat Summer Reading Challenge, and there is already a real buzz of excitement around school!
We were delighted to welcome the wonderful librarians from Horsham Library, who introduced the challenge to the children and shared all the exciting opportunities it offers. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and the children loved finding out how they can take part over the summer holidays.
Reading is such an important part of children's learning and development, and the Summer Reading Challenge is a brilliant way to keep that love of reading growing throughout the summer break. Whether it's discovering a new favourite author, exploring different genres, or simply enjoying a great story, there's something for everyone.
We hope all of our children will take part in the Read to the Beat Summer Reading Challenge and enjoy a summer filled with books, imagination and adventure!
