Last week, every class had the opportunity to take part in a special drama workshop with Sarah called "It's OK to Be Different."

Through storytelling, discussion and interactive drama activities, Sarah explored the importance of celebrating our differences and being proud of who we are. She reassured children that everyone is unique and that our individual qualities make us special.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the engaging, in-person workshop and enthusiastically participated throughout. As well as having lots of fun, they learned valuable lessons about kindness, acceptance, confidence and respecting others.

It was a fantastic experience that helped reinforce the important message that it is OK to be different.

While it can be a positive way to connect with friends, there are also important risks for parents and educators to understand.

On Wednesday last week, four of our Year 5 pupils took part in an exciting athletics event at Christ's Hospital.

The children had the fantastic opportunity to meet athletes who have competed for Great Britain and learn more about their sporting journeys. Throughout the day, they enjoyed taking part in a variety of activities including howler throwing, sprinting, hurdles and many other athletics events.

They also enjoyed a delicious meal kindly provided by Christ's Hospital. Our pupils represented the school brilliantly, showing enthusiasm, determination and excellent sportsmanship throughout the event.

Well done to everyone who took part and made the most of this wonderful opportunity!

Barn Owls Outdoor Learning Day!

Outdoor Learning with Barn Owls was a huge success! The children were fully engaged throughout the day, showing great enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity in all the activities. It was wonderful to see them working together so positively, supporting and encouraging one another while exploring and learning outdoors. The day was filled with smiles, teamwork and memorable experiences, and the children should be very proud of the way they embraced every opportunity.

We are already looking forward to our next Outdoor Learning Day!

Celebrating a Wonderful School Year

As we come to the end of another school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on what a wonderful year it has been. From exciting school trips and memorable performances to fantastic events and achievements, the children have had a year full of learning, growth, and fun.

We’d like to say a special goodbye and good luck to our Year 6 pupils as they move on to their next chapter in secondary school. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished during their time with us and we know they will continue to shine. We wish them every success and happiness in the future.

This year, we are also saying goodbye to some valued members of staff: Mrs Keyte and Miss Whitehouse will be moving on to new adventures and opportunities. We thank them all for their hard work, dedication, and care, you will be truly missed by pupils and staff alike. We wish you all the very best in your next steps.

A massive thank you also goes to our wonderful PTA. You do so much for the school behind the scenes and throughout the year, from organising events to supporting fundraising efforts. Your time, energy, and commitment make a huge difference, and we are so grateful. We’re already looking forward to the exciting events you have planned for next school year!

To all our families, thank you for your continued support throughout the year. We hope you have a restful, safe, and sunny summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year full of learning, school trips, sporting events, performances, and much more!
