Fun morning with my creative buddy and and who organise a creative urban sketching meet ups. Thanks you for fab morning. Drawing on the street and cafes (soooo cold today!), getting out a bit of gouache, colour pencil and oil pastels. Meeting lovely people. it’s was sunny which always brings out smiles 😎 ❤️

I always encourage people to join or make a local art group. I joined my village art group which meets every week and has done for over half a century!!! We all bring our own projects and materials and take it in turns once a month to create a still life. This week Sue brought in her teddy bears. I love that, I would never think of drawing or painting teddy bears! So much fun thank you

It’s been such a joy sharing Summer, Breeze, Elements and Summer into Autumn — four paintings that trace the shifting moods of light, colour and calm.

A quiet beginning...
I’ve been working on a piece that holds rhythm, memory, and ancient beats
It started with river stones.
I’ll be sharing the full story in my journal on 5 June, and if you’re local, you’ll be able to see the finished painting in person during my open studio next weekend.

I found Buddhism in my 20s.

Not as a trend, or a pose — but as something that quietly made sense when nothing else did. The teachings of Lamrim and Lojong felt like coming home, and eventually led me to ordination.

My creative life and spiritual life are never far apart. I paint with presence. I teach with compassion. And I try (as best I can) to live with a good heart.
