At our July meeting we welcomed Carol Walke as our speaker. She spoke about Bess of Hardwick. Her talk was most interesting and informative.

At our meeting on June 1st we celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a Buffet Supper which was enjoyed by all members.
Two new members were welcomed. The raffle for a 'Knitted Queen' was won by Janet Bott.

We held Our Annual Meeting on 4th May when the Financial report was submitted and adopted along with the Committee's Annual report and President's address. The Resolution was discussed and members indicated that they were in favour of the proposition.
Lilian Phipps was re-elected as President. The evening concluded with a light hearted Derbyshire Quiz which was won by Kathleen Eley.
