A year ago, Emily Howard Tutoring was set up… and what a year it’s been! ✨

Without a doubt, it was the best decision to leave the classroom and venture into 1:1 tutoring. Seeing children grow in confidence, develop their skills and achieve things they once found difficult has been so rewarding. 💛

I’ve also met some wonderful ladies at the hub (Bright Stars Education) and I’m so thankful for all of the help, support and encouragement along the way.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the parents and students for your trust and support this past year. I’m so grateful to be part of each child’s learning journey and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings! 📚✨

Good luck to all of my Year 6s taking their SATs this week 💚

I just want you all to remember how far you’ve already come and how much progress you’ve made. I’ve seen the hard work, determination and resilience you’ve shown and I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.

SATs do not define you. They are simply a chance to show some of the amazing things you’ve learned along the way.

So this week:
✨ Believe in yourself
✨ Stay calm and take your time
✨ Try your best
✨ Be proud of your progress no matter what

You can do it and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 😊

I haven’t posted on here in a while, happy sunny Monday! I hope you're all well! ☀️

I just wanted to share a quick update about my cancellation list, which has been working really well. When a slot becomes available, I’ll send a message to offer it to you - completely optional, of course. Tutoring slots would be on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 3:45pm.

If you’d like to be added to the ad hoc cancellation list and/or the waiting list for a permanent slot, just let me know 😊

From personal experience, I know that learning isn’t “one size fits all” 💭

Some children need more time, a quieter approach or support to manage big feelings. Others might have brilliant ideas but find it harder to stay focused, get started, or believe in themselves.

That’s why I’m so passionate about creating a calm, understanding space in my tutoring.

Because when a child feels truly understood, their confidence can grow in ways that go far beyond the work we’re doing ✨

I’ll be seeing some of you over the holidays, but if not, I hope you have a lovely, well-deserved break!

Well done for all your hard work this term – it’s been so lovely to hear how well you’re all doing in school, not just with assessments but with your growing confidence too, which is the most important thing.

Try to keep on top of any homework or school work, but don’t forget to switch off and enjoy yourselves too. Get outside into the fresh air, enjoy the sunshine (hopefully!), eat lots of chocolate, and spend time with your friends and family.

I look forward to seeing you all soon and hearing all about your continued progress! ✨

A quick update on availability - I’ve been fully booked for a little while now 🙌✨

I’ve had a number of recent enquiries (thank you so much!), and I’m really sorry that I’m unable to fit anyone else in at the moment.

That said, I do keep a waiting list, and as my timetable is always evolving depending on pupils’ needs, spaces do occasionally become available. I’m always happy to keep in touch and update you if something opens up.

Such a gorgeous sunny start to the day! ☀️
I’ve had a lovely morning with my daughter and now I’m getting everything ready for this afternoon and evening at the Hub.

I’ll be working with my brilliant Year 3, 4 and 6 children - supporting their learning, boosting confidence and celebrating every little win along the way 😊

I can’t wait to see their happy faces later!
