What a really positive evening of tutoring sessions last night 💚

One of my students worked so hard on improving his sentences, using his phonics, practising letter formation and adding adjectives and adverbs, all while trying his absolute best. It was so lovely to see how happy and proud he felt of his achievements. 🥰

Another student successfully understood and worked with percentages after initially finding them quite challenging. She was so proud of herself, and I could really see her confidence growing as the session went on. ✨

And finally, my last student tackled telling the time with enthusiasm and perseverance. Reading analogue clocks can often be a tricky skill to master, but he kept going and was so determined to get there. 🕐

Feeling super happy and proud of all three of them. It’s moments like these that make tutoring so rewarding! ☺️

✨ What a positive start back! ✨

The first few weeks back in September have been so lovely! 💚

It’s been wonderful to welcome the children back after the summer and hear all about their new school years. They’ve come back happy, confident and full of enthusiasm, and it’s been so lovely to see them settling into their new routines.

Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, growing and lots of little steps forward! 🌟

A year ago, Emily Howard Tutoring was set up… and what a year it’s been! ✨

Without a doubt, it was the best decision to leave the classroom and venture into 1:1 tutoring. Seeing children grow in confidence, develop their skills and achieve things they once found difficult has been so rewarding. 💛

I’ve also met some wonderful ladies at the hub (Bright Stars Education) and I’m so thankful for all of the help, support and encouragement along the way.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the parents and students for your trust and support this past year. I’m so grateful to be part of each child’s learning journey and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings! 📚✨

Good luck to all of my Year 6s taking their SATs this week 💚

I just want you all to remember how far you’ve already come and how much progress you’ve made. I’ve seen the hard work, determination and resilience you’ve shown and I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.

SATs do not define you. They are simply a chance to show some of the amazing things you’ve learned along the way.

So this week:
✨ Believe in yourself
✨ Stay calm and take your time
✨ Try your best
✨ Be proud of your progress no matter what

You can do it and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 😊

I haven’t posted on here in a while, happy sunny Monday! I hope you're all well! ☀️

I just wanted to share a quick update about my cancellation list, which has been working really well. When a slot becomes available, I’ll send a message to offer it to you - completely optional, of course. Tutoring slots would be on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 3:45pm.

If you’d like to be added to the ad hoc cancellation list and/or the waiting list for a permanent slot, just let me know 😊
