Been a bittersweet return to work this week. Lovely to be back but not so great saying goodbye to some of my GCSE students. Some I have tutored since yr8 or yr9!
I have had some lovely messages from my students and parents including this extract; from a parent of a student I have tutored for a number of years:

“ I don’t really have the words to express just how thankful we are for the level of care and support you have given since day one of meeting you… Thank you for nurturing her, just as we would.”

This makes me so happy as I like to think tutoring is not just about the Math or English but about the whole student. I feel I must be doing something right! 😊

Been busy today (in between resting).

Going through paperwork for all my new students in June. Emails are heading out today.

Bitter sweet as that means I am losing my GCSE students as they are smashing their way through the exams.

I now have no spaces available for the 26-27 academic year and have opened a waiting list! I feel very humbled that most of my new starters have come from recommendations.

Just to let all my students and parents know - my op went ahead yesterday. Home from hospital tomorrow hopefully 🤞 Then to rest up!
