100% pass rates across eight GCSE subjects

A closer look at our 2026 GCSE results reveals some exceptional subject performances:

⭐ 100% pass rate in English Literature
⭐ 100% pass rate in English Language
⭐ 100% pass rate in Maths
⭐ 100% pass rate in Science
⭐ Plus 100% pass rates in Drama, History, Music and Sports Science

With national pass rates of 59.5% for English and 57.2% for Maths, these results are a fantastic reflection of the high standards achieved across our curriculum.

We’re ready for you!

Our teachers and staff have been busy getting everything ready for the start of the new school year preparing classrooms, completing training, planning lessons and making sure everything is in place for an action-packed Michaelmas Term.

The first of our staff INSET days is underway, as staff prepare for the start of another exciting school year at St. Edmund’s.

This morning began with an important whole-school safeguarding training session, ensuring all staff are fully up to date with the latest guidance and best practice.

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do, and these days give our whole team valuable time to prepare, plan and get everything ready for their return.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back next week!

Congratulations to all our Form 11 pupils on their fantastic GCSE results!

It was wonderful to welcome so many pupils back to St. Edmund’s this morning to collect their results and celebrate their achievements with friends, families and staff.

This year, St. Edmund’s achieved an impressive 97% overall pass rate, with 88% of grades at 9–5 and 46% at the top grades of 9–7. English Literature, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Drama, History, Music and Sports Science all achieved 100% pass rates.

We are particularly proud of the progress made by our pupils, who achieved, on average, one full grade higher per subject than predicted.

Headmaster Adam Walliker said:
“I am immensely proud of our pupils and the excellent GCSE results they have achieved this year. These outcomes reflect years of hard work, commitment and determination, supported by outstanding teaching and the encouragement of families.
They have shown resilience, character and enthusiasm throughout their time at St. Edmund’s, and I offer them my warmest congratulations. I look forward to seeing them build on these strong foundations as they move on to the next stage of their education.
A huge congratulations to all our pupils , we are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and wish you every success for the exciting next chapter ahead! ''

Tomorrow is a big day for our Form 11 pupils 2026 as they receive their GCSE results.

We are looking forward to celebrating the success of all our incredible pupils who have all worked extremely hard this year and throughout their time at St. Edmund's.
