Come and discover the difference a nurturing community can make.

We are a friendly, welcoming school based in the heart of Beacon Hill village. We aim to give our children the necessary skills to develop creatively, socially and academically. We are proud to celebrate what makes each child unique and we work hard to help them grow into confident, curious and happy learners.

At Beacon Hill, we are proud of our dedicated team of staff who genuinely care about the children and consistently go above and beyond to ensure every child feels valued. As you will be aware from recent Met Office forecasts, temperatures are expected to peak significantly during the afternoons of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. To help our pupils cope with the heat, we are implementing the following temporary measures:

Optional Early Collection (1:15 PM) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week: If you wish to collect your child early to keep them cool at home during the hottest hours of the day, you may do so at 1:15 PM.

School Remains Open: For parents who are unable to collect their children early, school will remain open as normal until the standard dismissal time. We will continue to supervise and care for all remaining children safely inside the coolest parts of the building.

After-School Clubs: Wrap-around care and after-school clubs will run, but activities will be strictly low-energy and held indoors or in shaded areas.


Temporary Relaxed Uniform Policy: Children are highly encouraged to wear their school PE kits (shorts and a t-shirt) or loose-fitting, cool, gingham school dress etc.

Water Bottles: Please send your child to school with a reusable, labelled water bottle filled with fresh water. We will be running scheduled water breaks throughout the day, and cooling stations will be available for refills.

Sunscreen: Please apply a high-factor (SPF 30+) sunscreen to your child before they arrive at school.

Hats: Please ensure your child brings a wide-brimmed sun hat or cap to wear during outdoor breaks.
